He’s so beautiful finished!! Love how clean the symbol is plus I love the ribbon you chose, nice job!
Guest, The MLPTP's Fundraiser and Prize Giveaway will be returning on June 1st! Check out this thread for all the latest news!
With the symbol, I had to keep going over the white so much because it just wasn’t smooth enough but I eventually did it. I tried my paint I was currently using (posca pens) and then watered down acrylic then back over with posca, sealing every layer with Mr Super Clear to make sure I didn’t smudge and can wipe off mistakes without removing too much of beneath. I then had to tidy up edges with acetone because of the sealed bits and I didn’t want to make smudges like how I did his blue gradients. There wasn’t too much to tidy up anyway, just little bits.He’s so beautiful finished!! Love how clean the symbol is plus I love the ribbon you chose, nice job!
I like to think he is a true mountain boy with his mountain symbol. No other mountain boys have tinsel anywayHe's awesome! I agree, he doesn't need tinsel, he's icy and pretty already.
Thank you!I love him! So regal and dashing!
He's quite charming! You did a great job on the paint work.Here he is, he is finally complete!

Ended up not putting tinsel in him because as I was waiting for the reroot needles to arrive, I got so used to him not having it that I preferred it and then when they arrived, I didn’t like it much. My tinsel is much too thick anyway and super duper coiled

I fixed up the white on his symbol and added blue. I’m a little on the fence about if I want to undo the sparkly blue or not but I think I do like the blue… just might prefer all white a little more but the blue looks better in bright light. But at the same time it feels like it may need the blue to tie in all the colours into the symbol too? It would have been better if the blue lines were lighter but my light blue glitter posca just wasn’t like that? I didn’t want to do too much or keep going more because I don’t seem to realise when to stop and adjusting things. Probably best I did opt for no tinsel too

The ’Superman curl’ forelock was unintended but I really like it

Thanks! I wish there were landscapey type TAF ponies because it’s such a good idea. Pillow Talk shouldn’t have had to been the only one with a sort-of-background to the symbolswow, what a gorgeous boy! i love seeing custom big brothers, and your color choices and paint job are both amazing! i really love his symbol, i never thought of putting like a scene/landscape for a TAF and it looks fantastic! he has such a good balanced design, wonderful work!
ETA: your alternate method of doing the hooves ended up working anyway so no matter lol, but for dusting chalk pastels, you may have to roughen the surface by sanding or adding a sealant, but i'm not sure if i can recommend doing that on a G1/HQG1C because i'm not sure what they're made of XD and because the bodies are flexible, it may crack if handled? but i've used it for non-MLP doll projects before ^^;
