I've had to limit my online time pretty strictly since something hit the news last weekend, so I've been spending time working on some new embroidery designs, and finally have a rough draft stitched out to show for it.

There's a lot I want to fix, so please don't bother commenting on the linework and gapping. That's getting done. What I do want to ask about are the colours.

Has anyone ever Pantone matched the G1 colours for mane/tail, body and flank marks?

More specifically, is Moondancer's purple streak supposed to be this dark, or is that faded purple how it started out when she was new? And should I trend more pink-ish, or more blue-ish in my purple choice?

Also, metallic/glitter thread is a major PITA to work with, and the stitching will break and fall off the final product after only a couple uses/washes. Do you think these shine enough, or do I really need to do the flank mark in metallic thread?

Thanks!

 :ponylove: That is beautiful!

Well, dang I was going to say it's amazing! I don't even know what gapping and linework refers to but I think it looks wonderful. I like the colors too!

I think it looks great colorwise, and agree 100% about the abomination that is metallic thread. She's got plenty of shine.

Wow, she's beautiful! I wouldn't worry about metallic thread, I'd rather buy an item that will last a long time, personally! I think she looks great overall!

Oh my!!
So pretty.... you even did the blushing cheeks!
If you ever do Trickles, I'd pay good money for that haha :lolpony:

I second this. Maybe it's worth trying out if you really feel like it'd make a big difference, but if it keeps breaking and it's hard to work with and it takes the fun out of the activity, I wouldn't worry about it at all. If I were to purchase these I would also prioritize durability.
