That is HILARIOUS! I couldn't stop laughing. I love the part when you drove out with the sword poking out of the car going "I HAVE THE POWER!". And I couldn't stop laughing when you were sniffing the ponies *is guilty of that too*.

And lastly - OMG I LOVE YOUR ROOM. Wish I have space to set up my ponies like yours!!! *dies* You're a pony collector's dream come true.

That He-Man costume is fantastic. You're very brave to wear it on TV :D You didn't look like a dork at all, just a cool funky chica. With a lot of ponies. :D
 
ROFL! I can't believe you did the bathtub scene and let them come in! I hope you had a bathing suit on. The smoking pony was funny. But the plastic smell was a bit on the crazy side. To me honestly, the only ponies I'll be smelling like that are the scented ones hehe. The others gotta let them air out a day or two.
 
Haha, I just noticed something. You have really nice fingernails!

I love the way they throw the seaponies to you in the tub. Hey, do you happen to know what song it is they are playing while you're in the tub? The jazzy one. I love it!
 
KK, so I am going to do my best to respond to everyone:

Mia2004- that poor G3 that feel off my car! I was SOOOO sad...I ended up backing over her (when I went back into the driveway) She split open, and has tire marks....I kept her of course. I am sad I damaged her, but now I will never forget how she got that way!

I got along SO great with the producer/video journalist that came to film the piece (it was all done by one guy, and a carpload of equipment, and erm, 2 FULL days of filming....but I think that was partially cause we were having so much fun!!)

satinslipper - whaaaa?? You were able to download it?! OMG. Believe it or not, I do NOT have my own copy!! Can you send it to me?? I would pay well for a dvd (or if you can rip/download the whole 1 hour episode, its also available on the site, I would love that too!) I hate that they didn't give me enough notice when it went to air :( Wasn't able to get someone to tape it for me...

...and I would be honored if you had it on the boards!

Reaperfox -I wasn't brave or else I wouldn't make the costume :) He man was quite successful this summer! (on this show, on the news and in the newspaper!)

The smoking pony is actually my pony pipe/hooka....it was made to smoke in lieu of me "smoking up" on screen. I didn't feel comfortable enough to do that! So we made the smoke rise from it. They also showed a great close up of a custom pony Wildfire made for me years ago!
As for the pony smell: To each their own! My nose is super sensitive....and I looove the smell of things (as much as I am allergic to the smell of others! Like perfume, *gags*) Pony plastic is one of my most favorite things to "sniff". Well perfectly minty minty clean G1 pony plastic that is :)


Also, you guys must realize, someone totally edited this whole thing together. He had SOOO much footage to work with, so its all kinda in bits and pieces (versus how we filmed it). Mind you, I still think he did a super awsome job doing so.....

The sniffing pony (me on the couch) was actually done to go with me singing along to "rocketman" (which they ended up cutting)

they were really long then! (surprisingly enough, considering we filmed this when I was in school, and working 40h/week overnight shift doing stock!)

Out of all my pony pieces I have done for tv (this is, erm, I guess my 3rd?) this is my favorite one!! I hate hearing myself talk (usually) and such....but I have watched it soo many times already! (or is it because of that catchy music they used?! LOL)

I first read about it on the arena, so I just added Twinkler-something + Canada = Twinkler00, lol. I thought it was an awesome compilation of the daily life of a pony collector. The most important elements are filmed: the pony room, the new vinyl smell high and the 'they make me happy' response.

Everyone wanted to be He-Man when they were young, and every girl was told it was impossible to be He-Man for a couple of obvious reasons, so everyone who says it's un-cool now is prolly just jealous. :lol: On a serious note: wearing a costume of ANY animated character in a TV show takes some courage... Dunno if I would have appeared in my Azumanga Daioh Yomi outfit in front of a camera.

I am kinda sorta upset by some of the rude comments. Now I know why I don't post there

And I am kind of sorry the link even was posted there. Obviously people don't know if they can't say anything nice, don't say it at all.

I know you might think I am being oversensitive, but you know what? It took ALOT of ***** for me to do what we did. Everything was planned, and the HE MAN costume wasn't put in there to represent my little ponies. It was a way to get MY COSTUMES Television, and make it fun and interesting.

In case anyone at the arena friggen CARES I actually would like to *MAKE* costumes as a living, so yeah, being able to say "hey! I was on this show, and on the news, and on bla bla is a GOOD THING"

I didn't go on televion and say "Hi! My name is twinkler, and what I am about to talk for ALL pony collectors ALL over the wordl"

I went on to represent me, and only me. And you know what? Compared to other dull, boring interviews they could of done on a nerdy collector, I think we realyl spiced it up and made it fun and interesting

FLAT OUT EMBERASSING?? Reading your COMMENT Was what was flat out emberassing~!!!!!! Be supportive of your fellow community members! I find it flat out emberassing when people try and scam a seller on ebay out of a rapunzel and offer them an amazing deal of $14.99 for her to end the auction early.

IMO THATS what is more embarassing for pony collectors. But MEH, to each their own I suppose.

Oversensitive, perhaps. I just, you know what....its the REST of the world that should think I am a freak. Not fellow pony collectors

How many times has she even been featured on tv for HER collection? Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was #3 for me.

I wasn't thinking. I did read some of those comments, but I just shrugged them off. I don't know why people are so weirded out by seeing you in costume. Seems to me some of them are just worried what others will think of them. Sighs. :(

I am glad you pointed out others ignorance and intolerance of of other people

Like I said above, I really didn't go on to represent ANYONE else in the community at all, just myself. I wasn't obligated to represent ALL pony collectors....just me!

I love cosplay and costuming and dressing up, and entering them in competitions (he man won TWO awards)

And LOL at the chick who told me about the family ponies....ya, but when you are on the spot and not thinking, its hard to remember them ^^
Not to mention, I was in school AND working teh night shift. This was actually shot with VERY little time to prepare anything on my part! Especially my collection!! LOL

Twinkler, I first saw the link from the thread on the Arena. Don't let some of those people get you down... I think it was awesome!! How "serious" should an interview be, anyhow... I mean we all collected brightly colored toys horses! I'm glad you got to show off your costume. I think it shows what a talented seamstress you are. :clap:

I know I got angry, its just their reasons for not supporting me were pretty idiotic :gonnagetit:
Not to mention, they were all like "what does your silly he man costume have to do with this, bla bla bla"

and right in the interview I SAY:
"My he man costume was made as an extension for my love of all things 80's cause its kinda hard for a person to be a pony..." or something of that sort :blah:
