New Game! Opinions on a random pony!

Love him! One of my most favorite pony features are freckles :ponylove:

Today’s pony is our first boy pony so far, G1 Thundercloud!

The Mountain Boys are one of my favorite European exclusive G1 sets! I love their freckles, their weather theming, and how cohesive they feel as a group!
Thundercloud is my third favorite after Ice Crystal and Sunburst. I love the deep purple streak in his pink hair! I like how G1 wasn’t afraid to make the boy ponies just as bright and colorful as the girls!
He looks awesome! I love the EU mountain boys, and I'm a huge fan overall on how delicate and fun they look even though they're boys (probably because they're still girl toys despite being boy characters).

My favorite out of the mountain boys is Ice Crystal, because I love his color scheme and his name reminds me of one of my favorite LPS series as a kid  But Thundercloud here is a close second! He looks very kind, almost makes you hope for a So Soft version.

Hope to have him in my collection soon!

I love the Mountain Boys, to me they are how the Big Brother ponies should have been (ie symbols that aren't stereotypical "boy things"). Also their color schemes are great! The weather / nature theme is perfect for them.

Today’s pony is a pair! G2 Wiggles and Giggles!

The G2 babies are very cute and these two are no exception. I love their tinsel, and their white/blue/pink color scheme—they look like baby Starcatchers! However, I think they’d look better without the yellow forelock. It looks out of place.

Ok I do not have these two kiddos, but I saw (and bought) my first G2 babies from the MDPM. I think I wrote this elsewhere, but at first I thought they were fakies or some other McDonalds toy. I had no idea how ITTY BITTY they were, and from the moment I picked them up I fell completely in love with them.

I LOVE these two! Their pastel primary color scheme for hair, the adorable matching magic wand cutie marks... Don't get me started on the tinsel because that's probably my second favorite gimmick after Twinkle eyes (and lets be real, G2's are a type of twinkle eye imho)!! They really do look like they could be Starcatchers kids (urge to draw very strong!. I am not fond of their names, if only because I would prefer a more astral or magical theme for them, but regardless they are adorable and I so hope to find them someday!

I love the G2 twins and these two are especially cute! Great color schemes!

If I bought them I would switch their tails so they matched their manes. Non-matching tails is one of my pet peeves, lol.

They're cute colors but I don't like their manes. Maybe the glitter was too much? I'm not sure.

They're adorable and pretty, and IMO the yellow forelocks actually work quite well, they add just the right note of contrast.

I love them! Both are on my G2 grail list. They look even cuter wearing their little damsel hats. <3

Today’s pony is G4 Snowcatcher!
IMG_9563.jpeg

Snowcatcher is very pretty! I like the combination of the aqua body and the reddish pink hair—it gives her a very sherbet-like coloring! These early G4 toy exclusives are so cute, and I will forever be disappointed they were phased out in favor of excessive Mane 6 rereleases.

There was a brief period where it was hard to consistently find the Mane 6 but there were still oodles of Rainbow Flash et al on the pegs, and it was frustrating collectors at the time (probably didn't help that there was little to no overlap between the show secondary and background ponies and the toyline non-Mane-6 ponies, which admittedly feels like a missed marketing opportunity). And I think Hasbro might have tried to adjust only to grossly overcompensate and never dial it back, which wasn't any better.

I like her but I think the color combo does bug me a little

i like her but i don't think she's very wintry! her symbol looks much more like an atom from far away - my little physicist pony? my little nuclear power plant worker pony?

She's cute but I wish her hair was two toned. I've considered seeking her out because she comes with a cat friend. But I don't love her cutie mark and her overall look is a bit boring.

I actually love her color scheme, but I agree it doesn't feel very wintery. Maybe if they added some white to her hair (like a candy cane or something), and maybe make her cutie mark stand out a little more. The blue color gets a little lost on her body color. This lady is a good candidate for my redesign challenge lol

Her name is so cute. <3 I really like her body color and symbol, but I agree that a white stripe or multiple stripes in her hair would have looked great.

I love her, but I'm also in agreement that the full pink doesn't mesh well with a wintery pony. One of my biggest complaints about Hasbro's treatment of MLP in general seems to be their insistence on having pink or purple on nearly every pony figure they touch.
