I remember when i first found out about nirvanas being so bummed out that my country didn't get any and i dreamed about looking for g1s in second hand shops and right at the bottom of a box with toys i found 2 (brown and white) g1 pones that where from my region and being so happy about it but at the same time a bit gross out because they where very sticky and in poor condition (i am a bit germophobic:umm their tail was rooted, hair was very harsh (texture similar with a pig hair brush) and brittle so much so that if u message it between your fingers it would just crumble not to mention tangled and frizzy with the brown one being the worst case. Their body was also very dirty and yellowed with the middle one looking like it was once white and the weirdest of all, their mark was on their belly with the inscription ''republica socialista romania'' wich make me question how the hell did they license that is this a bootleg ? wouldn't be the first time i mean look at this totally not Donald duck toy made by Aradeanca. Their symbols seemed to be inspired by folkloric textile art with the meanings seen below and the brown one had a cardboard stuck on to it and after i took the cardboard of the paper was still stuck to its leg and also the years of being glue to it seems to have deformed the vinyl making the side of the legs very flat, that cardboard looked like it was the original package with everything being ripped except of the product photos showing all 3. I don't remember exactly the colors white had either dark brown hair or tar black while the eyes where either italian blue or brown while the black one had either brown eyes or white eyes with the mane being either grey, silver or white. Its weird when it comes to dream i remember very well tactile sensations rather then images.

i think where my mind find the inspiration is pretty obvious with the brown one looking like a my pretty pony/italian butterscoth/italian and macau peachy: the white kinda looks like a stranger things applejack which was my first ever g1 and the black one i remember seeing a black g3 on the net and really liking it (not sure if was a custom or not) and i saw a black g1 in the background of a ''toys that make us'' short video on youtube and i think my mind just leach on to that design.
sorry for the wall of text i had this dream pretty recently so i remember it pretty well, also if anybody wants to use skech below as a base i give u the full permission.

That’s so crazy… I have pony dreams like that ALL the time! My dreams always involve being on vacation with my family and coming across a store that sells G3 ponies in their boxes for the prices they were when I was a kid and they were still being made. There’s always a super long hair pony at the store that doesn’t actually exist… sort of a mix of Whistle Wishes and Precious Gem.

This thread got me thinking of ponies I may have seen in my dreams but I honestly don’t really remember them but I think around December(?) time, I had a dream of finding a bag of ponies and there was so many I’ve never seen before. I don’t remember them but I remember this dark green G2. I think she was either in this pose or in a different pose like a walking one? She was dark green and gold. She had lots of gold tinsel hair. I don’t remember her symbol either sadly but I think whatever it was may have been matt gold in colour. I tried to draw her and traced her outline from a G2 picture. She reminded me of a Christmas tree

Glad to know I'm not the only person that dreams up variants, lol. One time I had a dream that I saw a pegasus Baby Munchy at a thrift store and lost my mind, I was SO disappointed when I woke up!

This has really inspired me to note any ponies I see in my dream.
here are some mockups I made of some of the more interesting ones.
a picnic set that came in a bag with both adult and baby lickity-splt
a set of twin baby sea ponies..
a pony that I apparently got from a yard sale that looks strangely like my ponysona.
a G2 house set I saw in the same dream as the picnic set. I forgot a lot of the detail so I left those parts blank.

I thought I was the only one who had collector dreams like that! I always find ponies at a thrift shop for dirt cheap. I go to pick them up and examine them, and right after I decide "Okay, I HAVE to get this." I wake up. Once I found several ponies in my dream shop, and this one pony from the lot stuck out in my mind so vividly I felt like I had to record it in my notes app, lol. I think someday I might make a custom if I can find a bait pony with the right body color. It's a pretty loud pony but something about it is appealing to me.

I love this one! The idea of a super deeply colored pony with the tinsel is so pretty.

I feel the same way! The next time I have a MLP dream I'm taking a mental picture of what I find. It would be interesting to see a gallery of ponies from collector's dreams, like a bizzaro version of MLP, lol. I like that set with Lickety Split meeting her past self and having a picnic.

I drew this to see what this pony would actually look like so I can see with my own eyes but I figured since I posted that G2, I’ll share this also.

A couple of nights ago I had a dream that I found a bunch of charity shop ponies and in the mix was this G3 McDonalds Twilight Sparkle. She had a strange “on” button over her cutie mark which was kind of flat and when you press it gently, her cutie mark would light up and then the front of her body. So I did this in the dream and then I could see dark liquid inside her legs moving upwards. I thought maybe she had water inside but no, she was melting from the hooves up. It was kind of scary in my dream. I was not lovin’ it.
Her NDS side had some kanji going diagonally down across the back of her legs and I’m not sure what it said but when I first noticed it in the dream, I thought it was sparkly stars and I only noticed it after she started melting. Also on her NDS side was those battery packs with the single screw too. Maybe she only took a single battery or two

For this I had to trace an outline of a McDonald’s pony and then the horn from a normal sized brushable. I didn’t realise there weren’t any G3 McDonald’s unicorns like this but the Twiley was in this pose facing that way

Every so often I'll have dreams where I find myself in random thrift stores across the US, and they always sell ponies for cheap. Some of them are absolutely insane, with twinkle eyes and TAF patterns and flocking all at the same time, and I do intend on drawing one of them soon, but they're harder to remember. They always end up having Nirvanas that don't exist too. I've been thinking about this one though lately. She's just Blue Belle but with different colors. I remember in the dream screaming with excitement at the shop owner, who was a really nice old lady, "No WAY!! You have Blonde Belle????" before I woke up. I might make her into a custom someday. I remember her body being more purple too, so if I do I'll probably use an anniversary Blossom. Also if you've ever found nonexistent ponies in dreams, tell me about them!! I love hearing about stuff like that.

Your dream pony reminds me of baby speckles or boysenberry pie!
