Hey buddies, I wanted to let you know I was super dizzy. Not just a little but so bad that moving around makes the world spin with incredible force it knocks me over. I woke up with it and have no idea completely what is wrong. I am working on getting my appointment but with the holiday it isn't easy. So, if you don't see me it is because I feel just awful. I am nauseous a lot too. They are adjusting my neck every 3 days, but it's been over a week with no improvement. Then the other thing that started was that when the doctor mentioned stroke to me it scared me so bad, I have been having anxiety attacks. She didn't say I was having one, but she said they can cause this. It scared me to death because, my friend just got out of the hospital after having a stroke. I don't handle the medical stuff well at all. So, I am just all out of sorts. I miss you guys and I hope I can get back on again soon with good news and fun things to talk about. I mean I am just freaking out over here. Sigh...pooh:(

Hugs tula gently

Aww Tula! I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling badly! Don't worry you'll get it all worked out and I'm sure you'll be fine. Ya know I found that when I got dehydrated,or sleep deprived, I got dizzy spells. Maybe it's something simple like that? And just remember this - those doctors always have to assume the worst and then test for EVERY crazy little thing, even though most of them are a longshot just because if they don't and they miss something obscure then they could get sued for malpractice. So just remember that usually most issues are something simple, like stress related, sleep loss or diet change... and rarely life threatening. The docs are just covering their butts by making you do all those tests.

You might also have an inner-ear infection. I used to get those, and the only symptom was a loss of balance and dizziness. Sometimes you will get a headache with it, but sometimes you won't. A family practicioner should be able to test for it.

Another factor could be a medication you are taking that has a side effect of dizziness. I had a med once that I was taking for months that suddenly one day caused me to have a bad dizzy spell and I nearly wrecked my car because it was while I was driving. Thankfully after doctors visit we figured out that it was the medication and I stopped taking the medication immediately. It was a med for nausea.

Best wishes!

I drink so much water, sometimes over 8 cups a day and no other type of drink. My medications have not changed for years. I actually can't take a lot of meds. The other thing is I am now breaking out in a rash on my torso. Some weird stuff is going on with me. I know what you mean about the testing. I think it is the insurance companies making them do a lot of stupid tests before the ones that actually diagnose problems. The inner ear thing could be a possibility. I have no pain at all in my ear. No doctor can see me at all until after the 2nd of January so I am just stuck bumping into the walls until we can figure out what to do.

Feel better soon

Feel better @tulagirl :xmashug:

I used to get dizzy from low blood pressure and hypoglycemia. We'll be hoping for the best for you!

Yes I have both of those but, they are not the cause of this. I hope to get into a doctor soon after the New Year is over.

Well, hang in there, and, when in doubt, sit down.

Ha ha that doesn't help me much I tend to be spinning so rapidly that I can't sit straight up and end up falling over. This is quite different from anything I have ever had before. I have had dizzy spells before but this is like I have no balance, no equilibrium...and complete loss of control over my head and body as I spin like 100 miles an hour. It kind of feels like being on a tea cup ride and going as fast as you can imagine then getting off of the ride and being unable to walk. It causes a lot of nausea too because its too much motion.

I really hope you can get some help. As you told me to do get to the doctor as soon as you can Tula :( take care of yourself. Your health comes first.

Yea well all of this started before the holiday. Two weeks before Christmas none of the doctors could see me. The emergency rooms were packed full and people were not getting seen for more than 48 hours. I can't handle that. Plus I didn't want to expose myself to the flu and make my situation worse. The doctors all went on vacation and won't be back until after the 2nd. So, I had no choice but to wait. Plus my ENT has lost my chart and this is going to cause a major headache as I don't get the established patient fast appointment. I am going to have to start all over. Argh. The one doctor I did see felt that I could get through the holiday. She wasn't sure I would get the right kind of care in clinics for the unique inner ear problem I am having. So rather than waste money on poor diagnosis at the clinic and possibly catching a respiratory virus or the flu since it is so bad here in Houston...I stayed home. Any kind of illness on top of this would make this so much worse since it involves my ears. I could end up in the hospital and we really can't afford that right now. I have no fever or pain so this is a structural condition of the inner ear.

Sorry to hear it tula. I do hope you can see a doctor soon. :xmashug:we need more hug emotes on here. :/
