can't say they're not cute but really? i thought we were nearly over with NFT's, but it's Funko i guess i can't expect any better. if i did like G4 enough i'd buy the physical item itself, from a SECONDHAND seller at this point
 
I can't get into NFT either. I think it's for people who have way too much extra money. I'm very stingy with my money, I'm always that person who is shopping sales and clipping coupons and if they raise the rates on any of my bills I'm calling to fuss and renegotiate, I'm very conservative in my 401K investments and yet..... I will drop a few hundred on a pony. Quite contradictory but maybe I'm so frugal in all the other ways so I don't feel bad about the occasional pony splurge :unsure:

Not only that but NFTs and Crypto ruin the environment, badly. So i cant imagine supporting anything promoting either, even if a NFT was bought with regular cash its promoting/ supporting NFTs which are heavily involved with crypto. However the topic is wholly stressful so I wont continue o_O It just is so annoying how companies disregard the harm theyre doing.
 
Nfts are a scam, a ponzi scheme. They use waaay to much electricity and are super detrimental to the environment. A bunch of them have gone bankrupt or had rug pulls the past few months. Anyone still slinging their crypto is just trying to get enough people to buy in so they can cash out. Don't fall for it.

That said, I'm not seeing where these are NFTs? Digital collectibles are a thing. I sunk plenty of money into Gaiaonline back in the day lol. I do think funkos are ugly as sin though, and these are no exception. :rolleyes:

Apparently if you collect them all you get a physical one and the sticker says on it

I didn't say anything about NFTs, I just said digital pack of cards.

Haha I used to play on GaiaOnline all the time :smile: Never spent any real money on it though. We’re you around for the BOO vs SIN battle on there?

Oh yes, I was pretty active from 2006-2011. I bought GaiaOnline gift cards. Like, from a physical store. Sometimes I look up my accounts worth for a chuckle lmao.

Back to the Funkos tho, now that I'm the computer I can see where it talks about "wallet holding". Trying very hard to say NFT without saying NFT. Though I guess you get to eventually redeem a physical item so it could be worse. Still sketch tho. And those crypto wallets are not very secure so if someone steals it you're out of luck, no item for you. :/
 
these "digital cards" are NFTs, it looks to me like they're trying to avoid directly saying that they are due to all the backlash. "minted" is a dead giveaway though, and going to the main digital pop page straight up advertises them as NFTs. what a shame :/ i can only hope the NFT trend keeps declining.
