So for those of you who decide to open them, do you keep the boxes? Or perhaps just the backcard? I ask because I opened about three of my birthday ponies, but we're about to move and I don't know if I should keep the boxes or not. I like them because they have the 'R' Exclusive on 'em, but not sure if it's worth it.

I keep all the boxes, and, boy, do they take up space! o_O

i keep all of mine mib except those that i really like i usually get a second set and open them especially when there's a baby, lolz.
 
I take almost all of mine out of the boxes so that I can play with them. I keep the boxes though and display the pony in the box.
 
We take most of ours out but Silly is starting to be Ok with having some MIB - those are store exclusives or Eruos. We save the handles for hairing, backcards (which go into a file holder) backcard scenes to be sued to line some shelves, the name to be hole puched and tied onto the brush and the points the rest I am afaird goes into the local landfill.
 
When I open them, I clip the points then put the resto the package into a large plastic container in my closet.


Lately I haven't been opening mine. My dad made me feel guilty about it, like I am 'devalueing' them. When we move, I'm just gonna open all of them up anyways. I have like, 50+ that I am going to open. It's gonna be fun.
 
I keep the entire box for only a few select ponies that are my favorites. For all of the rest, I keep the backcards & the front part that has the name on it. I have been keeping all of the brochures for some reason too. I've been thinking about getting rid of the brochures and the front part with the names though because it's taking up too much room.
 
I have only around 20 G3 ponies, because my focus is at G1. Only 2 of my G3 ponies are still in the box. I think the ponies look better outside of the box and it needs too much space, to keep all the boxes. 2 of the empty boxes are filled with G1-accessories.

I would open the ponies, if you aren´t planning to sell them in the next time.

I open nearly all of my ponies, but it just so happens that I have three that are still MIB because of neglect. Target had a clearence. :wink:

I have only kept the entire boxes from my first, Sunny Daze and my only UK; Winter Snow.

I keep:
The backcard
Pony Points
Brush (but I am clearing house because my Spring Bucket is filling up. heh)
Small clear rubber bands, because they are useful in many ways
 
For a while, i kept every, and i mean EVERY single box, then i decided i'm moving, and i don't wanna take all the boxes, so i cut off points and back cards :)

my closet was FULL like 9 feet high of jsut boxes. no one needs that much junk. lol
