Perfume Puff Bowtie

Interesting dolls!! I'm always on the lookout for puff hair but I'm not personally a fan of using wool roving (the stuff used in needle felting) because it has no sheen to it. I wonder what this is made out of. If I had a sample I'd do a burn test, muahaha...
Any plans to trim her hair to puff length? That would make her look really authentic! <3

What's the burn test? I have a small sample left that I haven't trashed yet.

And I don't think I will trim her hair. I am not really a fan of the looks of the original perfume puffs, then again I only have one to compare to. Need more to decide lol. though I may trim just a little shorter hoof length so it displays nicer. Not sure yet, I like her as she is now too

Puff ponies were illustrated like this http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/File:DaintyDahliaBackcard.jpg and it's my favorite look for them so that's how I've always styled them, just brushed down like that.
The burn test is a way to tell the fiber content of a fabric. You take a tiny amount and hold it to a flame in a safe place and follow a chart to look for certain characteristics like whether it holds a flame, its scent, ash, whether it melted or burned, etc. Most synthetic fabrics melt, and this includes yarns. Nylon pony hair would melt into a blob before blackening. Wool roving would smolder and turn to ash and smell like burning hair.

I would love e to know how to make it brushable :/
