A commission for Amber881. I'm not even sure how long ago I started this behemoth, but it's been well over a year, possibly approaching 2. I spent a few months just trying to figure out how to cast resin flames. (I eventually has to settle for sculpted flames, with resin coating them.) Many sculpting, painting, and casting disasters later, she's finally ready to rise from the flames!

One thing I'm super happy with is how sturdy she is; during the long time she was in the making, she's been dropped, knocked over, and stepped on (yes, all by me!) and came out without a chip or scratch! She weighs over 2 lbs. :doh5B15D:

What finally made me happy with the flames was layering them with casting resin, with a little gold glitter in it.

Wow! Cool! That is impressive, so much hard work! This is wicked..looks so difficult to make..
 
Wow! She is amazing!! You can really tell how hard you worked on her! It's payed off!! Do you have any WIP pictures? I wold love to see your sculpting process!! :D :D

Oh my holy ponies!! THAT is insane!! It is just amazing!! The colors are perfect, the glitter is a great touch and the actual resin and work is stunning!!
