So, I've been updating my pony room for about a year. I'd work on it a little and then I stop for months but I was running out of space and desperately needed to organize and find ways to maximize my displays. I've been having a hard time getting motivated to do anything lately, after working all week and doing the usual house and yard chores on the weekends there isn't much free time to do other fun projects. It just seems so much easier to veg out in front of the tv or computer but I'm trying to get myself back into doing fun projects and spending less of that precious, little, free time just being a couch potato

So I'm making my pony room to-do list here and I'm going to share pictures and updates as I get through it. Then in the end I'll share my finished, organized pony room in all it's glory! Maybe this will encourage me to at least do a task a month. Here we go...

Finish making risers
Organize international shelves
Repair pattern display
Repair water globe
Posters display
Special ponies shelf
MLP pics frame

Wreath
Complete mobile
Sea ponies shelf
Dragon project
Float project

Today I felt like I could tackle the mobile. I've had this thing in a box for a couple years. It was missing a bow piece and needed to be put together. I don't know much about it, must be UK cause of the ponies but was just something I came across on eBay. So I pulled out the scanner and created a new bow, I don't know what color it should be but I chose yellow. The original ones I had were the blue and green. I printed it out on some slightly shiny cardstock that matched the original quite well and was thick enough that doing both sides and gluing them together made it also just as thick as the originals. Once my bow was created I just spent an hour or so tying off lengths of fishing line. Completed it was hard to get a whole picture of because it's so long but it's a little heart, a MLP rainbow banner, the castle and then the bows and ponies. And I apologize for the yellow-ish light in my pony room, I got some old bulbs in there currently.

Wow

Well, I slacked off again *sigh* and am just now doing another thing off the list of updates, although technically I crossed 2 off so I'm still sorta on target for one a month

I got some white shelves for my "special" ponies and things, and finally a frame for some MLP pics I've been meaning to put up. On the one shelf I have my signed pony from Bonnie with a signed postcard and copy of the MLP patent. The other shelf has a frame I had made with Frank in it. He was such a good boy, he went through his chewing phases but never once did he disturb anything in the pony room! He'd just sit in there with me, napping on the floor and being cute. I also have my "Frank" pony from @Skybreeze up there as well as a pony frame. It's not MLP but I got it from Churchill Downs on a trip to Kentucky. The larger frame has some MLP related pics I wanted to frame. I'm sure I'll have more to add so I got one with a few additional spots to fill and just put some pretty paper in there for now :winkpony: I'm pretty satisfied with my little set up but I'd like to find some better little pedestals for the ponies. Right now they're just up on upturned boxes but maybe a little mirrored thing or something that looks a little nicer.

*pardon the camera glare*

Not going to lie, I almost cried when I saw your shelf for Frank. Zephyr's paw print is still safely in the box and bag it comes in, I still can't bring myself to look at it. :(

My heart still hurts when I think about Frank but I get through with the knowledge that he was one spoiled rotten pup for pretty much his whole life, he was 3 or 4 months when we took him in. I know there are many other doggos out there who sadly won't ever know the life he did and so I try to focus on the good. I haven't been able to bring myself to get another dog yet, I want to know I won't constantly be comparing and wishing it were him. I think only time will help us but I don't think I'll ever stop missing him <3

I noticed your giant Clementoni?? Ravensburger? puzzle in the background. I am working on the 40k disney magical moments. I've done the 9000 ravensburger astrology and the 9000 ravensburger underwater life and I'm about half way down the 12k 4 historical maps, which I paused to work on the Disney puzzle because i have a 2 year old. I love that you love puzzles and ponies, just like me. :)

Wow, you are way more of a puzzler than I am! I can't imagine a 40K one, how big will that be completed?!?!? My Sistine chapel is 8K I believe, made by Educa? and it goes most of the length of my dining room. Once completed I couldn't imagine breaking it down so I decided to hang it. I just painted molding to be my makeshift frame cause I wanted the front open for touching. There is such a gratifying feeling of running your hands across a completed puzzle LOL

Glad I'm not the only one who enjoys touching a finished puzzle. :lolpony:

That sounds like a cool puzzle! I’ve never seen one you can color before :D
Me, either. I have no idea where she got it. It really made me wish I was allowed to use my dad's jig saw so I could make a pony one somehow.
