Well, I don't just draw ponies. ouo Actually I've only recently started drawing humanoids again! It's been kinda nice to get back to it, and to actually be drawing in a style I enjoy.

I have a whole host of humanoid characters, but I definitely have wanted to focus on a couple of my more important ones first! This time it's Karano, my oldest, most important character..... in a bit of slice of life haha. Something I'm sure we can all relate to.
Karano

Actually I drew this one first:
Karano

And this one too.
Karano

She's sort of a demon/dragonoid, with a few specific transformation patterns. c: She was a creation, rather than being born, and is immortal. She is quite tall and despite how she may look, she is very physically strong, especially when transformed.

Most of the time, Karano's emotional expression is fairly dull and only changes in subtle ways - mostly this is a result of her creation. That said, she does most often express anger, and a varied degree of patience. As a result of all of this she can come off quite cold and distant, but those who do get to know her find a very loyal - and very powerful - friend.

It's been so exciting to get to see Karano again, it's been such a long time!

I joined a new pet site last year and ended up deciding to start up some site-exclusive commissions for headshots... I'm actually really happy with how this first one came out! So it the person who asked for it haha. I've only tried drawing dogs a time or two before, so being on this pet site has been interesting.

Then I went and took on the challenge to go full-body with one of my own dog pets.

Mmm, this one I'm honestly not as happy with. I can't place it, but it looks strange somehow. Maybe I'm just too used to drawing horses, but it feels like I somehow did something wrong. The legs, maybe? I have this problem with dragons, too, I can't get the legs right. Honestly any input would be helpful here.

I also decided to grab one of the screenshots of Izumi from Parasyte and freehand sketch that, for practice and for fun, since I'm also not used to drawing males. I thought to myself, "If I'm going to practice drawing males, who better to draw than some of my favorite male characters?!" You can probably expect more, haha. Unless I end up burning myself out anyway, which... is a possibility since I seem to be anxiety-drawing a lot.

Haha I’ve always had trouble with guys because they look like they have no hips so my guys are always just straight like a log
That is definitely something I'm going to have to practice as well haha. I never thought I would, I thought I'd always just stick to horses and female humanoids, but... here we are.

im the opposite, i was always drawing dudes and it took me AGES to figure out how to make female hips work xD
Hopefully I'll pick it up pretty fast!

It’s always fun to try drawing new things, so I’m sure they’ll look good :)

I ended up getting three commissions in a row from the same person haha. There's another one on the way, as well, who happens to be a human male. I'm really stretching my art legs a ton lately haha! In fact a little too much, I think. After this I'm taking a break.

I really actually have a lot of stuff in the works - like a lot a lot. Like trying to do way too many things at once kind of a lot. I'm so excited to finally be back at it with artwork, to finally have the drive and the interest and even some of the energy back for doing artwork that I'd lost so many years ago, (and it's also a really good distraction from other things,) but it's also just too much. Even as ridiculously as I've been working, at times doing three artworks in a single day, I'm still putting things on my plate faster than I'm taking them off. The need to take a breather and try to pace myself is obvious.

It is aggravating, though. I have so many cool things I want to do and that I want to try, I have projects I can't wait to share, and some of those are really big projects I'm working hard on, but... good gravy there's only so much one person can do. Immortality would never be enough time for me to do everything at the pace in which I'm always coming up with ideas.

I am glad though that these commissions directly helped me with some of those intentions I've had! That's pretty cool.

What pet site?

Oooo! ok!

No : (
