Hello! My mom found and bought a pony for me in a thrift store, but when she first held it up I had trouble recognizing who it could be. But when I came closer I realized the cutie mark was Rainbow Dash's.

I wondered if she was a factory error or some strange variant of Rainbow Dash I hadn't seen before. But I looked online and couldn't find anything of the sort.

Then the non-frizzy ends of the hair, despite the rest of the hair being so tangled, made me wonder if this is someone's re-haired Rainbow Dash. So I easily popped her head off and sure enough, I found that her tail was held in by a white zip-tie and that there wasn't really glue over her hair roots.

She was only $1 apparently, and although I already have some Rainbow Dashes, I find it interesting to suddenly own somebody's re-hair project! I wonder the story behind her and her previous owner, like why she was given away and if that person still likes MLP. Anyway, she just needs a bit of TLC and I hope to cherish her for the rest of my life.

Finding someone’s pony projects secondhand is quite the feeling. It’s like an anonymous connection to the community in a way, if that makes sense?

I once found an abandoned G4 custom in the charity shop but I never got her. A rehair project feels mighty special though. Who knows, maybe her original mane and tail were in a pretty bad way

How cool! I always wonder about the other pony people out there. I live in such a rural less used state I never see other collectors

Hey Sprout, Have you tried using water and fabric softener, on the rehaired Rainbow Dash yet?
