Root Canal :(

I have a bad tooth and it needs a root canal. I am stressed about it. Root canals aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be, are they?

Nope I have had 4 myself. Trust me your so numb you feel nothing and if your tooth hurts as bad as mine did you welcome the relief after it s over. I does hurt for a day or so but they should give you some pain killers. Just don't drink through a straw you can get a dry socket like when you have your wisdom teeth pulled. Its a worst then the after pain of root cannel.

Oh if you do get one ask if the doctor allows you to bring a mp3 player in. Mine did and it help with the noise and all so it made it a lot better.

I've had 2 and they really weren't as bad as their reputation leads you to think. It is a longer process than a filling so be prepared to have people doing stuff to your mouth for a while but it feels strange more so than painful. Thank goodness for those numbing injections! You will be sore after but nothing some OTC pain meds won't help. When I had mine I was in so much discomfort from the tooth I didn't really care what they had to do to me but it wasn't that bad.
