sea-pony form preferences

Do you prefer sea-ponies looking like:
- G1 sea-ponies, where they looked like sea-horses with horse heads
- G4 sea-ponies, where they looked like hippocampuses (horses with fish body+ tail, but had front legs)
- Either/both

For me, I prefer the G4 form, but if sea-ponies appeared in the future, I'd like both forms to be available since I like both anyway!

I favor the g1's simply because I can remember bathtime with them when I was (2?, 3?). I do like the g4 style, too, especially since they stand on their own. I wish they'd bring both into the series in the future.

G1 is sea ponies
G1, G3.5, G4 is Mermaid Ponies.

I prefer Sea Ponies to Merponies.

I agree with @Leave a Whisper G1 did sea ponies, the rest are mermaids.

I too prefer G1 as that’s where my memories spent playing in the tub, pool and bathroom sink with them all. Having said that I like the baby Sea ponies more than the adults, again because I had more babies because of the floaties. The adults I always used as diving game things in the pool. Lol

I like both of them! But I don't call Merponies as Seaponies, lol, agreeing that only the seahorse ponies were Seaponies. The rest were Merponies (even if G4 calls them differently, lol. I refuse!) G1 had three merponies as well, towards the end of G1, but they were only babies.

i have to say i never cared for the g1 sea ponies. i never saw them as a kid, apart from in the show, and i don't really want them in my collection now either. But the g4 seaponies are really cute and at some point i want the bigger ones with the glittery eyes, so pretty.

I didnt like seaponies as much. Though my kid got me into collecting them. I still have more than a few babies on my want list.

I like the G4 merponies better then the G1 and G3.5 Mers, with the exception of Pearly. I woulda got more if Hasbro hadn't made them so...inaccessible. I really wanted Ocean Gem, Novo and Haven Bay.

I think I prefer the g4 ponies. they are more mermaid like in my opinion, which I like. Not that I would turn away a good g1 seapony of course.
Come to think of it, I still need an adult seapony.

I prefer the G1 seaponies. They’re like seahorses which make more sense in ponyville, seeming more pony/horse related. It’s probably also because I’m more used to those ones too.

I never liked the G3.5 merponies.

The G4 one are all right and seem more mermaid which makes them seem more “sea”like. I don’t hate them though, they improved the mermaid part of G3.5 majorly
