Hello there. Just registering an account and doing a quick introduction so I can go back to hiding back in the corner!

My name is Angela. I'm just an American born in the seventies but I claim to be an eighties child because everything was just so much better then. All I can remember about early childhood is disco, brown EVERYWHERE and the clothes were not happy to wear. ;) I'm one of those people who had their entire toy collection disappear over the years with no idea where they went so I'm looking forward to getting their little replacements.

Welcome to Mlptp hope this makes you feel welcome

Welcome to the herd

Welcome, please don’t feel like you have to hide. Only if you want to. I’m an ‘82 baby, so I remember those ’70’s decor items. I had seafoam green carpet, and matching walls. It was disturbing. I wish you luck in finding all your old pony friends. If I can help, let me know.

Omg I remember that song :)

Welcome Angela! Don’t hide in the corner too much, it’s a very friendly site:smile:
It's my new thing for the new members every time someone new comes to my little pony trading post I what theme to feel welcome

Welcome! And feel free to jump right in! I lurked here two years before I got the courage to join and lookit me now! I'm a public menace! :D

Collections of all childhood goodies do tend to suddenly evaporate. Most fingers point at moms and housecleaning. I dunno how many people have told me their parents tossed their comic collections, or all their toys and such. It's no wonder many of us as adults spend good money trying to retrieve our toys and loot of the past.

I was born in the late 60s, so I don't remember any of that, but loved the 70s. It was all Toughskin flares and Star Wars figs, LOL! As a teen in the 80s though, I will state without hesitation that it's my fave decade. The music, the colours and films just ruled!

Welcome to the TP Angela! :flutter2:

I'm also from the 70ies, but my first memories are from the early 80ies. Awful haircuts, very questionable fashion styles, everyone in my class wearing Levis 501 and later cycling tights (eeeeww!), but such a great decade nevertheless. :) Good luck with building up collection again!

Welcome to the MLPTP! I agree the 80's were the best but I'm an 80's child so I'm probably biased LOL I think it's a little amusing that you mention everything being brown in the 70's and your fav pony is Butterscotch the all brown pony LOL, see you can't hide from the 70's it's ingrained in ya

Sometimes I get a little nostalgic for those 70's colors, it seems like everything was either that particular shade of gold/brown, green, blue or pink. I remember our bathroom was all blue. Like, literally ALL blue. The floor and wall tile, the tub, sink, toilet, all blue LOL
