Show Accurate Customs?

I have a lot of questions regarding show accurate customs!

1.Do you already have any ponies that you've rehaired or painted to be more show accurate? If so, please show them off so more people can simp for your hard work!

2.If you were going to try to make more show accurate ponies, would you use a less brushable material for the sake of getting the sectioning and texture more show accurate, or would you simply focus on color accuracy and styling of higher quality materials in order to prioritize overall quality over accuracy? (For example, yarn wefts could possibly be easier to make look like the show, but wouldn't be the most durable material)

3. Does anyone else think making customs based around some of the silliest animation errors would be funny? (I remember one short scene in The end of flutter valley where Surprise was flying in place and her head and body moved, but her eyes didn't, creating plenty of interesting shots of her that would make for humorous customs, for example!) If anyone has already done this, please show off your glorious meme ponies! Memorializing the imperfections in such a way may seem rude to some stans looking back at the series with Rosedust tinted glasses, but I think these errors can actually be quite endearing! Appreciating a series despite or simply with its flaws rather than pretending it was without flaw is the way to go imo!

4.Is there even much interest/demand for show accurate customs? When first watching the show, I thought that I would have been disappointed in the differences in mane color as a kid and thus would think such customs to be potentially quite popular, but who's to say how much overlap there even is between the collectors and fans of the series, movie, and specials?

I've seen a Whizzer rehaired with a red streak, and a Twilight Sparkle with deep blue hair.

I've seen reversed-hair Fizzy customs, and back in the day I did the ol' straw curl on a g4 Pinkie Pie. Personally I'd love to see a custom of-- it was either Lofty or Heart Throb who grows a fifth leg while flailing in a giant mousetrap in the wild ride that is Bright Lights.

I’ve done show accurate Big Brother Salty (haven’t glued his head back on and he’s headless) the first version I did of him I forgot the red streak (I might get rid of the first one if anyone from the UK is interested in him) Got to get another bait Whizzer to do Locket that’s show accurate. Most of my ponies are show accurate but some I have messed up and will have to get extra ponies of.

I have thought of making a show accurate Tex. Should one use hair that matches what the color looks like most, or hair that is a Hasbro shade that matches? Tex's hair on the show is orange instead of pink, but if I'm limited to Hasbro colors then his hair is different than both Paradise and Cherries Jubilee, and it is not fluorescent, gold, or blonde. Coral (cantaloupe) or the orange on Hula Hula and Pina Colada with light hair (pumpkin delight) from Shimmerlocks seem like they would be too light because both are lighter than Cherries Jubilee's hair and Tex's is darker.

if not using just Hasbro colors I could use starburst (metallic) from The Doll Planet or just make a custom blend. I bet "Reba" would work but i don't already have it and don't want to buy anymore oranges.

If I remember correctly, someone made show accurate Fizzy once by taking out the original hair and putting it all back in reversed. It was amazing.

For my show accurate Tex I used Pixie Red kiwi nylon hair for the tail and mane, and galactic blue nylon hair for the streak. He turned out well, way better than my first Salty.

I sadly do not have any show accurate customs, i would love one of g4 coloratura though when shes her regular self

i do have accurate customs of my own pony though, but thats a different story lol

pictures? I haven't tried any kiwi yet. I hear that it's supposed to be better than regular nylon, kind of like the hair on the 6" G5s (and maybe the Fashion Style ponies had it?).

I’ve got to find him first to take pictures of him, I use different kiwi hair for my ponies, sometimes my dolls. Kiwi is between nylon and Saran hair.

i plan on making a show-accurate queen chrysalis at some point! her actual brushable... makes me a little sad? it's so cheap and half-baked that to me it honestly looks like some bootleg fakie, LOL

my custom will have sculpted 3D details including leg-holes, horn, insect wings, etc.! i might also make one to sell, not sure yet?

G4s have plenty of figures with non-brushable hair that look pretty accurate to me, so i wouldn't personally bother with sculpted hair - but i don't collect any non-brushable MLPs to begin with, so that's purely a matter of personal taste! actually, i think that sculpted hair G4 customs are fairly popular, or at least have been done before?
