Besides sketching MLPs do any of you sketch anything else like Doll Clothes or Outfits for people?

I did that as a kid but I dont have my sketch book anymore and my craft store closed...

I don’t draw clothes but I draw monsters and dragons a lot
They’re a bit samey in a way but that’s what I do

I have drawn ponies but I am terrible when it comes to bodies for my stuff and they look like my dragons.
My avatar is a pony I made many many years ago. They still don’t have a name or cutie mark but the drawing is from this year

EDIT:
I realised this is in Show and Tell so I guess I can show some of my drawings...

Each of these were done for the covers of my three volumes for My Little Catelogue, three zine volumes made to catalogue my ponies. As you can see, they’re three types of ponies for each volume! I’m going to have to make an alicorn one soon, I’ve gotten new ponies since starting it and there’s another on the way!

Somehow the style feels a little different to my usual things (in a good way) and the unicorn one looks like she has a carrot coming out of her head

Aw but she looks cute with her little carrot horn :satisfied: she’s my favorite of the three

Thank you! She is quite a cute one, I hope that horn isn’t too heavy for her... lots rather sharp too
I think at the time of drawing, I didn’t realise how big it was until after I had finished

@StormMaeker - Honestly, practice and draw every day. This is how to improve on your drawing skills. I also recommend looking at horses in real life or via the internet (YouTube videos are a great resource). Doing anatomy studies can help improve a lot once you know how the body works and moves. You’ll see a lot of a difference.
That being said, I think what you’ve shared is fantastic! I see a lot of anime influences in your drawings and they’re great. The horn is nicely done and youwill probably find a difference in how it appears once you add colours to it. Sometimes just line are can throw you off and make you think everything is off but once there’s colour/shading added it can make all the difference.
I keep small sketchbooks everywhere. So if I see something interesting anywhere I have a sketchbook. Often you can get great little books for as little as $1-5 per book and they usually have about 50-100 pages. Just keep at it and you’ll see improvement. :)

Thanks! I draw everyday and a lot (I’m actually drawing in a sketchbook right now) and I when I was in college, I told somebody the same thing and they came back thanking me and said they saw improvement but I think what my problem is that I end up doing headshots more than bodies... also why I don’t do enough background practice. When I do end up drawing bodies, they’re either one offs or just really thin looking like my monsters need to eat more. I can do simplistic skeletal dog things though
I probably should use photo references more. I may have avoided them because “how to draws” never worked well for me. I do sometimes try doing hand practice because I need to get better at it when I do my rare human character drawings or my monsters with human-like claws. Apart from hands, I can draw fishes with human legs. A very strange combination
The ponies here were line art because I was saving printing ink when I print My Little Catalogue

I’m glad you like them, thank you!

I used to design outfits all the time when I was a kid too! Sadly I do not have any of my designs left either and I was so upset when my mom tossed them after I went to college that I just never got back into it.
