My Spicy Gingerbread has arrived! I'm going to call her Spicy Gingerbread cause I think of Latin flavors (not that gingerbread isn't already full of spice) but I think of her having an extra kick of ginger 
Now, I have been hunting Argie Ginger for several years and they NEVER pop up but before PFF @darklys had mentioned if there was anything in particular to be on the lookout for, for us poor souls that didn't get to go. I knew it was a long shot but I mentioned my holy-grail Argie Gingerbread. Well, no luck at PFF but like an elephant Darklys must never forget something! Fast forward a bit, there was a seller that popped up with, not 1 but 2 Argie Gingers!! They were in lots and one was really rough for what they were asking but the other, the other looked promising! I wanted more pictures to determine condition since it was really more than I wanted to spend since I just wanted her but ya know, sometimes you gotta bite that bullet. I messaged the seller and they said they'd get back to me the next day...
nothing... I waited another day, messaged again...
nothing now, at this point I'm getting antsy cause I'm like, should I just risk it? I should just risk it? I've been on the lookout for years. I should just do it. And then...
the listing disappears I tell myself, it's okay, and I'm fully aware I'm lying to myself LOL but I accept the fact that I mulled it over too long and one will come along another day for me. I convince myself she was probably in unrepairable condition, way worse then pictures would show and the seller was unresponsive and therefor unreliable... yes, yes, this will make it easier to swallow LOL
and then along comes sneaky @darklys I mean, who would've ever imagined! I just have no words. Truly one of the biggest gestures of generosity I have been humbled by and from someone I've never even met! I mean, don't get me wrong, I cherish and love every little treasure of kindness I have ever received and whether it is a sweet drawing from a member's child, or a fun or festive RAOK, or even a super rare HTF pony they all touch my heart the same but this left me stunned although, it did explain why that seller never got back to me LOL
Not only did Darklys get me said Gingerbread but had it go to @DracoKat first for some TLC. Which is much appreciated cause I don't know if I would've trusted myself to complete such a task successfully! And of course Draco did a fantastic job restoring her to delicious condition I cannot thank both of you enough! I'm considering her the best Christmas present of 2022! <---- had to get the full Arco Iris effect
But after all that too do, of course I had to show Spicy Ging around her new home and make her feel welcome! I figured I'd start with a gingerbread theme
Hola bienvenido! She arrived with the cutest card and a mini gingerbread lipgloss
all good things start in the kitchen, right? She was immediately enamored by her gingerbread "soldiers"
I think she's starting to feel at home...
but where are the cookies?!?
I'd like a half dozen gingerbreads please
then some of her Argie friends invited her over, looks like she already has a treat in her stocking
and finally we wrapped up our evening as we always do at Gingerbread's house in December, with a cup of hot cocoa! Tonight though, we bust out the Mexican hot chocolate, with extra cinnamon ... "no, not you Cinnamon, you get back to baking those cookies"

Side note: I have been chattin' with Spicy Ginger and I have come up with a new fantastical recipe idea for our Christmas Eve dessert. Cross your hooves and stay tuned, there will be plenty of Gingerbread's Kitchen updates
