After a much-needed break from customizing, I'm back with the first two releases in this year's Custom Persuasion Halloween series, collectively known as Something Wicked 2005.

The Oval Portrait is based on the Edgar Allen Poe story of the same name in which an artist obsesses over finishing a portrait of his young wife. It's an excellent (and very short) story, so I highly recommend giving it a Google if you've never read it. I absolutely loved painting the symbol on this one.

Rawr is the first in a new ongoing series of Monsters. He started out as a Rainbow Flash, and I experimented with a sort of transparent acrylic stain/wash technique to give him an orange tint. He has a light orange pattern over much of his body, and I used a shiny topcoat on his eyes so that they'd reflect light in a slightly more lifelike manner.
Erm... One of my domains seems to be hiccuping at the moment, so if Rawr's auction photos don't show up, his gallery page should still be working.
