Starting My Customs Journey - Revealed!

Oh..... Or could. Wow. She'd been there for so long that I totally took for granted that she'd still be there. Well, I'm sad now.

Uh. I really wish I'd checked that beforehand. Her not being there anymore might have just made this impossible. Don't I look silly.

It certainly isn't the only place she can be found, but it would have been the easiest.

Omg! Hahah, I didn't fully expect that to be right! I haven't actually ready Worlds Apart, but I do follow FlyingPony on dA. Lunarstar is a gorgeous girl, and I cannot wait to see your finished custom of her. And thanks for the game; it was a lot of fun! I would love to see more customizers do this in the future! :satisfied:

She really is! I've been a fan of FlyingPony, World Apart, and Lunarstar since I was little, it had a pretty big impact on me so I decided that Lunarstar would be the perfect pony for my first proper custom. ^^

And I agree! Honestly it would be so much fun for me to be on the other side of this as well haha. Gosh I got so nervous as well, it's been an extremely long time since I've hosted a guessing game.

Unfortunately I have no clue about OCs as I’m not a part of online communities really so I wouldn’t have been able to guess any at all :unsure: but I did get the guesses closer to the answer so that’s something

I’m interested in what this pony looks like though and your pony looks like it’s coming along nicely anyway :flutter2:

Hmmm... I'm currently working on a custom myself. Maybe I'll set up a similar game.

The character's creator is on deviantArt under "FlyingPony." Go check her out; She's an incredible artist! Lunarstar does have two forms, though: an alicorn and an Earth pony, and they look significantly different even outside the obvious changes.

That's fair, haha. FlyingPony happens to have been a member of the classic MLP community for a very long time, and in fact was the artist responsible for PonyIsland's current art style, at least initially, and as far as I could tell had been responsible for its advent calendar artwork every year. She shows up sometimes over in the Arena, as well. I figured she might be prominent enough to be recognizable, at least in some sense, even if you weren't going out of your way for fan content.

But I do look through a very colored lens in that regard, haha.

Thank you! And it's like starscout said, she does also have a DA. ^^ She's been slowly turning Worlds Apart into a comic over there.

She is still there - under a different owner, but still very much around.

Ah, I don't know if that's better or worse haha. The shocker for me is for sure the fact that FlyingPony/LunaCat herself left. .....Admittedly it was also surprising that she stuck around as long as she did, but still. I actually do have an old account (or three) on PonyIsland, and the fact that FlyingPony was an artist on there was a huge part of why. For all of the game's ups and downs, for me there's a lot of nostalgia tied to that.
