I have had it. It amazing how much better you feel after you heal. Good luck.

Yay! That’s exciting news? I’m starting to wonder if I’m getting it in my right hand/wrist. :(
My fingers go tingling, then numb. Like getting dental work done and your lip is numb, only it's your fingers. Plus an electric shock of pain that goes from the wrist up to the elbow. Literally feels like touching an electric horse fence. Plus my grip is completely unreliable. I drop everything.

Hugs Tak. Hope it all goes well
Thanks! I'm sure I'll be a-ok.

Yes, sometimes you actually look forward to a surgery, because you know you will feel much better and be in less pain afterwards. Hope it goes well and that the feeling returns after the surgery.

I'm getting my left hand carpal tunnel surgery within the month! You wouldn't think I'd be so happy about it, but I am.

I feels ya. I cannot WAIT for knee surgery, though it's far off because of the expense and downtime. Still though... I so wanna be able to bend my leg!

You will do so good in surgery,it'll be over just like that and poof! Relief!

It'll be great to have it over and done with! I was a rare case in that I had to have a carpal tunnel release on my dominant (right) hand when I was only 16. I had lost ALL feeling, and all use of my hand entirely. I went through months of high school with my arm in a sling so as not to injure my hand. It also took on a really unusual color, which was disconcerting.

It took about 3 months before the feeling completely returned (the last to come back was my thumb) but it was extremely successful and I have not had any problems with that hand ever since. I hope your surgery goes smoothly and you heal quickly! <3

Wow, at 16?! It sounds like it was quite an experience. My sister actually broke her dominant wrist in elementary, and again in middle school. She broke her other wrist in between. It seemed like she was in a sling forever.
Funny thing, her and my best friend at the time wanted to race down the sidewalk of our street. All of us on roller skates. I chickened out and when I caught up, my sister had a broken wrist and so did my friend.

I guess rolling skating and wrists just don't go well. That's how I broke mine back in second grade! I was at a church skating event, and one of the youth ministers bumped into me and I fell down onto my wrist. It really didn't hurt at first, so I kept skating for a bit then went and told my godmother gay that I'd hurt myself. The writs was broken in two places and Gay took one look and started crying, so i started crying too!

Not because it hurt, but because Gay was weeping. I assumed if a grown up cried, it must mean I was dying! LOL
