@ActionHank I can't believe you gave ALL of the ponies hats, every time I look at this photo I find a new pony with a hat peeking out at me! I'm sure Princess Celestia was flattered to have such a beautiful hat to wear, and I think your setup with the whole town is super cute! It looks like your own personal Easter Parade!!
To say that I made the hats would be a lie since ma made them since I lack that kind of talent, I only helped set up the shot.

Also has anyone noticed that Celestia's hat has little ponies on it?

@OctoberMoon I love these chickies, they look almost as excited about the basket of jellybeans (YUM) as they are about this hat! I think the shaped sequins are a really cool and unique choice, and the splashy fern leaf gives it such a dramatic flair!! I can't imagine how much glue you must have used to keep all of these little bobbles on! But I gotta ask - what dress is that? It looks AMAZING! I also love your second hat, the little blue chick on top and the mini fern are so cute!! It's a perfect mommy-baby hat set! <3
Thank you! Yes I couldn't resist the little chickie at the craft store when I was there. They are going to hang out with me from now on. More glue than I expected for sure!! The dress is something I found in my accessory bag from childhood but it's for a small doll I can't find. I made it work for Firefly and she ended up looking so cute in it! And I agree they make an adorable family.

@Mintyeon your bunny hat is so cute, at first I couldn't figure out why the bunny had no eyes! Then I realized it was a bunny BUTT hat, and I cracked up!! It's very well made, and the flowing ribbon tie just adds such an air of elegance! A great blending of whimsy and beauty, great job as always!!

@my little pony collector I loved your hat as well, the little knit bird on top is just adorable! It took me a few passes to realize that you added in the rainbow flowers from Izzy Moonbow's flower crown set, I love that! It really makes it look like the hat belongs to her - like she could have crafted it herself!

@raindroplovesponies the cluster of birds and flowers with the elegant ribbon tie makes this a perfect hat for spring, and the choice for your model pony is perfect as well!! Your doubled ribbon tails at the back are also so lovely!! I could definitely see this as a real pony accessory!

@dragonlady we might have been on the same wavelength, because I was also thinking about sugar egg scenes! It's so cute and so classically springy, it looks fabulous as a hat! I also like the different grades of yarn for the rabbit vs the hat, and the tiny basket with an easter egg!! So precious and smol!!

@strawberrypony32 I love the idea for the chocolate bunny hat!!! The tiny neck ribbon just sends it over the top for me, too cute to breathe!! And it's even teeny-tinier for a baby hat?! I'm dead! Of cute!! I also really liked your clear bonnet, I think it's just so clever and minimalist, it really stands out!! The butterfly perched on top - the perfect touch!

@AzaleaArt I love the shape of your hat, it's got incredible movement! Is this clay? Because I love how swoopy it is, and the little edged border detail is super cute too! And of course, GLITTER!! Love glitter!! I love that you used Fluttershy, and surrounded her with little bunny friends - it's so on brand!

11 is me lol

@Cactusflower I feel like this is the hat we'd be most likely to see in the G1 episode for the 'Dressed Like a Dream' parade - the shape is so classically pony, and the flowers are so elegant! I could see her sporting this with a flower-print dress of some kind! Plus, the color is so great on Bonnie Bonnets, great match and great job!!

@ZeldaTheSwordsman I really like the different elements of this, and when you said this was painted cardstock, I never would have guessed! I would have guessed some kind of craft foam! The color and feather gives me Robin Hood vibes, but the extra ribbons make it more glam and pony! It's very nice, and I'm impressed that you were able to keep it on her head with ear holes alone! I basically had to cram mine on with tightly-tied ribbon lest it fall over, LOL!

It took me a couple days to respond, but thank you to everyone for your kind words about my hat!! <3 I've done a few pony-related frosting attempts in the past, but I've never made an actual "cake" with it, much less a cake hat! Pinkie was kind of a sudden inspiration, because I remembered the odd pose this mini Pinkie came in, and it reminded me of this:

Pinkie Pie is roughly Ponyville sized, but she came from the 'Hershey's Treasure Surprise' candy, in case you're looking for one for yourself!

Thank you to @Gingerbread for the super fun contest as always, I love these hat contests so much! They're all so much fun, and I love seeing the virtual parade of ponies in their spring finery at the end! <3
Thank you!! :lolpony:
Yup it’s made out of Sculpey clay and coated in extra sparkly embossing powder :D I picked her since the hat it kinda heavy and I was worried a regular pony would tip over lol

Well, I admit that my bonnet wasn't sitting on very securely lol.

But yeah, it's made of painted cardstock. I looked into the contest too late to study how to sew reinforcement into fabric (plus what little sewing skill I have, I'm rusty at) and I wanted the hat to hold its shape... But I had cardstock on the surface of things and I knew it would take the color well.
