That's about around where I stopped watching the show as well, but the whole equestria girls thing really killed my interest in the show the rest of the way.

I really never got into the Equestria girls show either, and some of the dolls of them creep me out haha

Same! Of course, it didn't help that it also happened to occur right before my mandatory young teenager "too cool for ponies" stage.

It would be an interesting take to go back to the g1 idea of "this is a toy/show for kids who don't have ponies" - so, they're literally ponies, but they're pastel colored and talk. I guess Mlp Tales set the ground for what seems like an irreversible direction towards more and more human-like ponies.
Which circles back to my point. These ponies look like gosh darn predators. LOOK AT HER.

In hasbro’s defense, the original dolls were much better looking. The reboot dolls like the one pictured, and the minis... not for me thanks.

I'll admit they really didn't appeal to me initially, I just found them generally scary and not pony like. Buuuuut somewhere along the line I crossed sides and now find them all kinda cute. And may or may not have been tempted to buy a new 4.5 ;)

Funny fact for the day: meat eaters have the shortest digestive tract, herbivores the longest!

One of our ponies tried meat, spat it out bahahaha. Actually she really tried to bite out at another horse and somehow my partner's daughter was inbetween and still has a lovely scar on her shoulder. (Adult daughter and both ponies in question are hers :( ).

On a humourous note, my son ActionHank (when he was a wee lad) fed our potbellied pig Ham Sammich a pork chop. He wanted to 'make her a cannibal'. Of course, pigs being omnivores, Hammy did not hesitate to nom the chop.

I have read that herbivores, especially deer, have been know to chew on carcasses. It's surmised that they're after the bones for the calcium, but meat eating deer paint a delightful pic in my mind.

As for me, I know it isn't a popular opinion, but I love every gen. I admit they don't look like actual pony in the later gens, but I have a fondness for anything cute. I do so wish they'd retro back into something that looked more like g1 though as it's always been my favourite.

Just don't tell the Newborn Cuties though. They've been known to be dangerous towards their detractors!

Nope still new enough that the face is kinda chunky and awkward. Not my photos, but here’s the original fluttershy that E asked Santa for that doll and a puppy that Christmas.

These are mine and it took me awhile to give in and actually buy them but after I did - I fell hard. I love the posable ones but my favourite line is the Rockin’ Hairstyles set. I am also a hard core lover of the EQG Minis, I just love how chibi and adorable they are. I’m not huge on the reboot dolls but that’s likely because I don’t own any yet. Again I’m cheap and like to get deals especially when it comes to G4 stuff.
 
I like EQG dolls and the movies I like how it was a Alternate reality I collect for barbie so collecting for EQG I never had problem with it the only problem I have with it is the feet missing I wish they were made better I think that's what they were going for with the reboot series
 
@Tak and @Skybreeze those original ones aren’t too bad actually, I didn’t know there were poseable ones that’s nice. Their faces are wayyy better than the ones that I kept seeing in stores :smile:
The only 2 I have are similar to the rainbow rocks one for the faces but have hard plastic hair on top and a brushable ponytail, they look a little weird (they came in a lot of ponys)

I found it to be so strange that the first wave (with those peg feet) didn't have an Apple jack without molded clothing and the pinkie pie without molded clothing is the boutique version. I can remember the day that rarity and fluttershy showed up in store... the molded clothing ones never did come to stores here. E just wanted that fluttershy so badly. Then boutique pinkie came out just in time for her tonsilectomy. She was only 4!

I love the name Truffles, it's adorable! We had a piggie named Pork Chop too. I kinda name critters odd things. Running an animal sanctuary we get a lotta animals needing names, so I have to get creative. :D
