Well, I am day two into being past my dental surgery. I am having the hardest time talking because, I can't keep my jaw open for very long. I can't really even open my mouth very wide. For someone that loves to chit chat this is tough. R2 must have love the ride home from the store since I wasn't able to talk much ROFLOL. Anyone know how long this will go on after a tooth is pulled? I am also really really tired and need to sleep a lot. I am not taking my happy pills for pain anymore as I think I can handle it from here. I had a lot of shots maybe its just all of those shots. Plus there was a lot of infection down near the jaw bone.

Dad made it through his surgery well. I call him every few hours and check on him. He is really happy and enjoying actually just having a reason to say he needs to rest. LOL

I had dental work Wednesday too! I'm sharing your pain tula! I had a old filling that hasn't been right for years finally break in half. I thought they'd have to do something major cause it's a back molar that's more filling then tooth at this point but lucked out and they were just able to remove all the old filling, drill out a little bit of bad tooth and give me a nice, shiny new filling. I must have wonky nerves though cause I just would not go numb, she'd stick me, wait 15 minutes, stick me again, wait 15 minutes...we did that 4 times before I started to sorta feel numb enough and just tired of being there and told her to go ahead with it. All the while, we had a bad storm in the area with several tornado warnings, we actually had a tornado south west of us that killed a few people and here I am just sitting in the dentist chair listing to the rain and hail on the roof and the seek shelter immediately alerts on the TV!

I was so swollen after, I kept biting the inside my check and between that and all the times she stuck me I'm still quite sore and have a really hard time trying to eat. It's funny how it restricts how far you can open your mouth too, wonder why it does that. I actually hid alone in my office eating lunch today cause I didn't want all my coworkers to have to watch me try to fit my 2 inch tall sandwich in my 1 inch mouth LOL It won't pretty!

It took me a week to get my Jaw to work after my surgery. I found drinking hot tea help relax the areas that were the sorest. I hope yall both feel better soon.

Oh you guys are so helpful. I kind of don't remember much about the last 3 days because of the medication they gave me for pain. My mind is drawing a blank on a lot of things. Yikes. I guess if I was acting weird it was probably that lol. I am not taking that stuff anymore because, I really don't need it. My face and head don't hurt near as much.

@Gingerbread

Yea this is me. The first time I tried to eat I went with oatmeal because, I am on a very strict diet and that was the only thing on my list I could actually eat. Most of it was on my shirt because, I could not seem to get the spoon and the oatmeal in my mouth. It was really funny for R2 but really frustrating. Day two I could chew a little enough to eat some ground turkey, but I had to swallow most of it because, I would get so tired trying to chew it. I heard about that bad weather. That is not the time I would want to be at the dentist office. Yikes

@Ology

That helps. I can't drink tea but I can drink warm water with honey so I may do that. Thanks for the tip.

I don't have any advice, but I hope you feel better soon, tula! Dental pain is the worst.

Eeeee, dental pain is horrible. When I had my wisdom teeth out, I just had him numb me and take all 4 out. That meant a lot of shots, I couldn't open my mouth very wide for awhile either. I think all the shots did it. It only took a couple of days before I could open my mouth like normal. I hope you feel better soon and I'm glad to hear your Dad is doing well.
