Thoughts on community art prompt threads? (or something like that)

I've been back and forth on continuing to keep my artwork personal versus posting it more often, it kinda depend s on if I can get my mindset straight but things like color palette prompts seem like they could be a lot of fun, especially with it being a community thing.

I've never actually been a part of anything like that, so I look forward to it.

Oh, curious. I wonder if it's related to some recent announcements? Whatever it is, hopefully it's not competitive~
I think it's a social media thing. Making has become synonymous with sharing. So if you aren't sharing is it even worth it? It's the same line of thinking that all your hobbies have to be monetized to be worth it.

I've stepped back from sharing stuff constantly because of this and it seems to be healthier for me.

I think you guys will be happy with what Sky has brewing :)

Definitely. Posting my artwork too much had destroyed it pretty hard for me, to the point where it was effecting my self-worth. It took me outright quitting for a while to finally be able to see that I was letting perfectionism get in the way of things like personal expression and enjoyment. Even my art style was changing into something I only thought I liked in that pursuit. It's been really nice to finally start backing off from that and just drawing what I feel like again. So far I've only been comfortable sharing my work with small communities of people I trust.

I like the sound of that!
