Thoughts on plushies?

I am not sure if this is quite the right place for this discussion, but it is about custom plushies, so here goes;)

Lately I have had this urge to make some G 1 plushies, but here is the pickle..... should I make them to look like G1s? Or is it prefered that they look like G4's but with the colors and cutie marks of their G1 counterparts?
I just don't know........ so now I am asking all of you, my fellow fabulous pony addicts, what do you think I should do?
 
Well, this is going to depend on your market. There are many people that want G1 represented in G4 bodies. There are many that want plain G1 as G1 and G4 as G4. We have a lot of plushie artists in the pony community. Perhaps they have better insight on what sells. I would do some research on what is selling right now too. Take a look at that. What people are spending their money on is where the market is.
 
Well, the body will be white and ti will be a unicorn. So my choices are as follows, Gusty, Glory or Rarity.
Any other ideas are welcome:)

Personally I like g1 as g4 and I would like g1 as g1 but not as plain looking as Hasbro did theirs..

Moondancer is lovely too or Majesty <3
 
Thanx for the input everypony:) I think I will make this one a Rarity, because the G4 ponies are starting to become popular with the kids here now. Yes, I know! My country is a bit behind the times ^^
And then I will stop being so darn lazy and design a pattern for my G1s that looks the part Lol! It was just a case of, I have made a G4 pattern, I tested it out a couple of times before showing it to the world, so it was just easier to use the tried and tested pattern;)
And my husband said I should make G4, because he isn't familiar with the 80s ponies, and therefore likes the new one's look more:)

i love to see updated ponies it would be cool to see them in the same pose as there g1 toy counterparts

If shipping cost were not too bad I have a uncut g1 firefly pattern you could have. It's from the 80's. I pretty sure just changing the color would make other g1 Pegasus pony and maybe earth? Iono.

Oh, that is so sweet! :D are you sure you would want to just give it to me? Wow! That is something. If you are sure you are ok with that, would you mind finding out what postage would be to ZA? It can be the lowest priced mail, I don't mind waiting;)

Sure it's very light so it might not cost too much. It's just sitting here never being used. Better to go to someone who could uses it.Ill check cost and pm you later.This is the one.
