What do you feel like when you're in one?
Do you love, like em, or do they make you nervous?

Me, they now make me extremely nervous ":D I used to not mind t-storms, I'll just associate the sounds of thunder and pounding rain to an orchestral symphony or get warm fuzzy feelings of relaxing with my significant other.

But nowadays, whenever a thunderstorm hits, I just end up cowering and waiting for a tornado warning (I hate living in tornado alley >_<) and worrying about my ponies...specifically my grails that cost $100+ 6_9

Blech..idk what the heck happened between when I was alittle girl and now. o_O I just worried alot and I get scared easily :T

So, let's talk about your opinions on t-storms! XD (hopefully, I'm not the only one that gets nervous from them!)

I despise thunderstorms. The moment one approaches, everything has to be shut down and turned off and unplugged until it's over if you don't want your stuff getting fried. And then the storm sometimes lasts the entire day or night so you can never get anything done. They have a habit of passing, then doing a lap around the area and coming back an hour later, and of never coinciding with the scheduled rolling blackouts, so you end up going from one into the other and can't do anything about it. They're annoying, and the lightning and thunder completely detract from the nice calming rain.

I love them. I think they are beautiful and calming and a little bit exciting too. Tornados on the other hand, well I've never been in one but they terrify me and I'm sure I'd die of fright if I saw a real one headed my way

I do not mind :). We do not have tornados here, just strong winds that sometimes cut down trees but not that often it is that bad or power failure (that usually happens in snowy winters more). Not really that extereme weather here so I have never been worried :p. I think I like more strom when I can see the lighting :). The look so gorgeous :).

I don't like the rumbling sound. Earthquakes usually start with a rumbling sound, and I'm very afraid of earthquakes.

I'm incredibly scared of thunderstorms. They give me panic attacks. :sadpony:

Unfortunately Missouri is getting a LOT of thunderstorms right now, which is no fun for me. At least it's not snowing, though!

Funny you should mention thunderstoms, Wisconsin is getting hammered with them since last night. I think they're super cool until they turn into tornadoes. Tornadoes are scary

I used to not mind t-storms, but now I hate them. I was at work, will be ten years ago this August, when a tornado went right by us. Was a very frightening experience. Now whenever there is bad weather, I get really anxious. Especially if it's windy. I still have nightmares about tornadoes sometimes.
I have sort of a love/hate relationship with the Spring and Summer months now. ;)

There are no tornados or such in my small city. The mountains where we are block them XD

Well, I never minded them until Hurricane Ike that destroyed my home with me in it. That scared me and affected my dog badly. Once we got the house repaired and rebuilt in places, I noticed that I still cringe when I hear thunder, wind and see lightning. I use to love storms. Now, not so much. When the electricity goes out for more than a month due to a hurricane its just plain misery in the Texas heat. Thunderstorms remind me of hurricanes. Even though they are not the same by any means, you have terrible rain, thunder, lightening and wind during a hurricane. So, I associate the noises.

I'm not terribly bothered by storms, but my partner was in a huge tornado that wiped out her house in Wichita, and she is still pretty frightened by them. Myself, I enjoy the lightning, and hearing the rain pound on the metal roof. I do always worry about my animals outside. Even though they all have shelter, some are dingdongs and will go out in the storms. Why I dunno. Maybe they like living dangerously.

My Papaw's 31 yr old horse Linda was struck and killed by lightning, so I do try to get in when it starts striking nearby.

We have thunderstorms from oct to march every year. Non stop daily. Welcome to sg haha

Yea it always gets me how you are supposed to pull all your livestock out of barns and stables before the tornado so they have a chance to live. Yea sure, lets let them out so they can be picked up, swirled around in the air and land 5 streets over on top of a truck. I get that the barn may fall on them but good grief there has to be a better way. During hurricane Alicia, my uncle has a huge huge beach front home. Well it filled with 12 feet of water. Someone's boat landed in his driveway. They found a cow under the boat. Where did the cow come from? Well, we finally found out there was a farm about 8 miles away. It was so sad.

I dislike sunny days a lot. Cloudy days are ok and I am pretty happy. But a thunderstorm make me so happy I love them. I don't want to drive in them or anything, but I get my dog put on a scary movie turn the lights off and have a jolly fun time.

I love storms. I have all my tornado preparations ready to go so when the weather turns bad I can just sit back and watch the chase online or on TV. Spring always makes me want to read anything I can about tornadoes and storm formation. At work my supervisors and I stream chasers during bad weather so we can see what's happening. A few weeks ago I was working late and the tornado sirens went off, and I wsa the only one who knew what to do!
