I saw these really neat drawstring canvas backpack things at Hobby Lobby a few months ago, and I thought it might be neat to have a fun, unique bag to take with me to pony-related events. I thought about doing fabric paint on it or something, but I've always wanted to try embroidery, so I did some sketches and decided to do a big ol' piece on the front pocket. I wanted it to be a boy pony, and Steamer was both my first boy pony and also one of my first G1s, so it seemed like the perfect choice! I bought the bag last week, started the piece at the beginning of this week, and then...

...I finished it today! There are lots of mistakes and things I could have done better, but honestly I couldn't be more happy to have it come out as well as it did. Especially since I've never tried it before...I was expecting it to be a hot mess ^u^; But thankfully it was more tedious and time-consuming than difficult! Anyhow, now I have an awesome bag for future pony events >u<

It looks great!

I love it! That looks really good! I enjoy doing embroidery as well! Have you ever done a pillowcase (I think that those are really fun to make too)! Your bag is so cute! Congrats!

I think you did an awesome job! Especially considering the size; I can do small embroidery but certainly am not proficient in it. I make lots of knots where they shouldn't be & swear alot. >_<

That looks fantastic! Are you going to add any more embroidery to the bag?

You did a great job! Very cute!
