Unpopular Pony Opinions

One of the worsts for me is when you go and buy a pony being all excited and it shows up months later. The novelty wears off for me. I still remember this because I was because I was beginning to recollect and bought some original flat foot ponies.

I think Posey would look better if she was blue with instead of yellow.

And with some of the fading pink hair, I prefer the hair white instead of pink.

I wish they made more sitting pose ponies.

Ok, here's another unpopular opinion about collecting. I cannot stand when sellers (particularly those who are not collectors) expect collectors to do the work for them. Asking for price estimates, names of ponies etc. I want to say "Get off your lazy butt and do some research." It makes me more nuts that collectors are so gosh darn helpful. Why would you want to help someone profit off your love of a toy. I don't get it.

Oh, another irksome issue with collecting. When collectors invent prices based on what they would pay or an opinion based on nothing. I don't give a flying fish what you would pay for a pony. Use ebay's sold feature like everyone else. At least it's based on facts. Although, I've noticed that prices seem to be skewed lately based on a few people who have thousands to blow on toys. I always look at the average of what something is selling for.

I concur.

I disagree. Everyone has to start somewhere and needs a little help if they aren't sure. Especially since prices fluctuate.

Please remember the kindness of others in this community who did not get angry and call you lazy when you asked about things you were not certain of.

With the former, I think it's because a lot of us like to flaunt our knowledge.
I help if they are joining the collecting community and always try to pay a fair price, but if they're in it just to turn a profit and don't give a dingle about ponies, I tend to just send them to sites for reference.

That's because there are such a high number of new collectors there are too many people trying to take advantage. Unfortunately that's driving prices up. But fortunately I've seen prices kind of start evening out a little bit lately.

I know they flucuate, so I'm staying patient. ;)

I don't like Equestria Girls the whole ponies to humans thing isn't something I'm interested in, if I wanted to watch something about humans I'd watch something about them, I don't need them in my pony show, and why go from a town to a high school, I hated high school so why would I want to watch something about it.

Also it doesn't help that Equestria Girls is part of the reason I stopped caring about the pony show and related things for several years, I've just recently got back to the point I care about it again.

If they want it to be about humans, they should call it “My Little Human”

Wait, that sounds weird

But it is supposed to be My Little Pony. I don’t like Equestria Girls either. If I ever do get one in a bling bag, I see it as a loss.

I personally enjoyed Equestria Girls, I find it an interesting spinoff series with compelling storylines (in fact, the EG movies feel like real effort was put in, instead of being phoned-in like a lot of the show episodes at the time). And I like the trope of magic running loose in a mundane world, so that was fun for me.

I am however disappointed that as far as I could tell they didn't have an EG version of Megan as an homage to the last time there were humans in MLP (even just a namedrop would have been nice).

Megan was a cameo in the Rollercoaster of Friendship special. ;)

I wasn’t overly into EQG at first then Rainbow Rocks happened and then the “hair do” line and I liked it. I admit I love the EQG minis dolls a lot too.

Ah. I admit that I haven't seen that one yet, or Forgotten Friendship.

Forgot to mention:
I don't like that some of the 12" dolls are only articulated at the hips, shoulders, and neck.
And I'm also disappointed that the 5" articulated dolls have molded hair

Hey that’s kinda cool! I only ever watched the first episode (or movie or whatever they called it) of Equestria Girls, it wasn’t bad I just didn’t really get around to watching more. But it’s nice that they had her in it :D

I absolutely squeed over this cameo. I rewound and paused, making E watch it, jumping all around. (I'm such a nerd)
