Oh wow!
how did you get his body to glow like that?
I would recommend using a clear acrylic medium that is actual paint rather than the matte liquitex sealant I used. sealant is very liquidy and i had to lay the pony on it's side to let a thin layer dry, pour pink glow in the dark pigment powder into the hooves and then pour a mix of sealant and pigment powder into the hooves and then swish it around (made a leaky mess since it didn't have it's head on, but none came out of the tail), and even make the mixture extra thick and make clumps on the insides of the sides of the pony with a paintbrush. keep in mind it was already a glow 'n show by the time I added this glow in the dark sealant to the inside of the pony. The DS didn't have enough coverage so that is the side I laid the pony down on in order to let a layer of sealant dry on the inside and somehow it covered up all the stars....
I had been wanting to paint the inside of a see-through pony with glow in the dark paint for a while, but i wasn't sure if the paint on the inside would need to be sealed to keep it from peeling. Then i thought "why use paint at all? why not just use sealant?" Problem is sealant protects from UV light, so this pony takes a while to charge, and I used a matte sealant, which apparently has light blocking particles in it. Maybe I should have used glossy...or just paint, lol. Then I could have swished sealant around on the inside to seal it. Anyway here is the glow pigment:
I *think* the company on Amazon (Glowmania) has a similar pink that photos blue called "magenta", but this very light color is from Technoglo and is called "Cotton Candy." it is the color of Daddy Nightshine's symbol as well.
But for him I used a pre-mixed paint. I got all these materials years ago and just never used them.
The final Luminary glows hot pink, a color from Glo Effex. I will post him after I post the glow up of Luminary # 10.
