@Tak - I'm not a huge fan of Pillow Talk either but I had a bait Ember and I didn't feel like re-painting her body, or eyes and surprisingly enough PT was the best fit. I've had terrible artist block so my creative juices for original customs is just not there at the moment. :( Hopefully that ju-ju comes back fast, I miss it.

Well, those are two gorgeous ponies.
(We should retitled this thread "skybreeze is making more ponies that tak wants" lol) ;)
 
Here's my latest WIP. The designs based off of what another pony artist (Tara's Toy Treasures) had made and gave me the green light to go ahead and make one for myself. I am so so happy with how well she deflocked, and now with how well her paint job has turned out. Now I patiently await the arrival of her hair so I can root her and she can go proudly on display again.

Ha ha!! I actually used some acrylic paint pens that I found while Christmas shopping for my Dad. They’re a game changer for small details on ponies. I kinda love them.

She is pretty neon pink, almost as much as Shady. Amazing how much colour is behind pony flocking. Kinda sad when you think about it.

E has some of those pens, a brush tip marker set, too. So neato. Why didn't I know about these things sooner.

That’s how I felt when I ordered them. They’re a lot more affordable than they used to be. I bought a knock-off brand that had really good reviews on Amazon and in the restoration community. So far I like them but I should looked for a set with more pony friendly colours. Lol

E’s in art as her elective and she was one out of maybe three kids in her class of thirty that had any of her own art supplies. I thought it was a little sad. My girl has had her own desk, packed with art supplies, since she was 4. Before that, we did projects together most every week. She lucky to have so many people to help keep her stocked. She didn’t even realize that some kids didn’t have paper much less markers or colored pencils.

That’s so heartbreaking to me. As a child I lived for art and always had all kinds of art supplies and crafting things. But my mother also encouraged me to be creative and she spent a lot of time doing creative things with me.

Here’s a couple more that I had been working on. For all who’ve been waiting Best Wishes is still drying so I can photograph her tomorrow.

I used a mix of Shimmer Locks and Dollyhair to re-root all these gals. Both TAF ponies have had their symbols touched up and glitter added to their symbols to give them some extra pizazz. I added glitter to Beachball’s horn, because she’s a unicorn - she’s very resistant to stay standing normally so I am still working on getting her legs reset still. And Love Melody got some tinsel in her hair because I like sparkle. Lol

My sweet Daisy Sweet was a purchase from @Cactusflower about two years ago now. She was in fairly good condition. I left her in an Oxi & Hydrogen Peroxide soak for a few weeks and she came out bright and beautiful. She was also missing her forelock and some hair too. So, I just fixed her with regular hair and I kinda love how she looks now. Her poof is super soft and easily brushed now and she looks bright and happy again. Happy I could give her a new life.

(A big shout out to @Tak for selling me a big old box of baity ponies last year. I’m slowly working my through them and giving them life again. It’s been cheap therapy for me and I super appreciate it. Thanks again friend. <3 )
