I love them all. But esp starlight, he's super adorable. How did you make the holes to add extra plugs? I have a childhood remco I want to fix up. I have been looking at starlights made from mlps and thinking of doing one, but I think nicer with the big fakie. Now I know I have a couple of those hiding here somewhere....

Yes! He got essentially two rows of plugs added to the like maybe ten that were there originally. So about 30-40 plugs for his tail in total.

I have a small Bead Reamer that I use to expand plugs on firmer ponies so I don’t break my rooting needle. It’s very sharp so I used that to punch new plugs, I know other people frequently use push pins too but I like my reamer. Lol The fakie definitely works because they have ones with slimmer horse builds but still MLP like.

I really liked how the darker hearts came out too. It was actually a mistake as I grabbed the wrong glitter container and started dusting before I noticed. I went with it and liked it so much I also did it on the pearlized HT. The lighter hearts for the birthday girl were done because I know she’s been wanting that pony for a very very long time.

He is a pretty handsome and sparkly boy now. A ha ha! Thank you! I’m far from being a pro at customs but I do see improvements.

So, fun story, that Twinkle eye pony is still being worked on. I’ve changed a few things. But here she is now. Lol


But in the mean time, I have been working on a couple commissions for someone. My client wanted yet another HT so I made one for her. This time I used a darker pink and curled her hair like a rainbow pony to make her different from the others.

Then the same person asked me to make a Colombian Bowtie for her. I am so in love with how this lady turned out. Her new Mom loves her too.

And lastly, I’ve been working on making some FTB perches. Mostly because it’s annoying to me that not all my birds have perches. So, until I find their original ones I’ve been wanting to make them myself.

After more than 8 months of in-depth research on techniques and materials, I dove in and made my first mold and casting. I will admit, there’s a few flaws but I know how to fix them and I’m actually working on creating a (hopefully) better mold. But I’m pretty happy with how this first one came out. Fixing the few holes it does have won’t be an issue at all and bonus because it actually takes up much less resin than I thought it would!!

Once I get the kinks fully worked out in these I may end up selling them. @Cactusflower a solution to the problem! No more burnt birds!!

I was just testing the mica powders and mold for this stand. My actual stands I plan to be mostly opaque.
