I am fortunate enough to work in an “essential field” (Veternairy medicine) so I work all the time.
Fortunately for me, I’ve been able to take some time away from work with everything going on with Clover. The clinic she’s at has decided to withdraw owner visits to only once a day and only to one person in the family. Because Clover is still in ICU and I worked there, we’ve been doing video chats and updates through the day.
Now because of Covid19, I can’t afford to not self isolate.
1) Because of my MS I have an extremely low immune system myself.
2) My Mom also has MS and severe asthma.
3) Most importantly my grandfather lives with us and is on palliative care during the last stages of his cancer. We are just keeping him comfortable. (He will be 91on Sunday!)
I am also fortunate enough to live in a province where our government has things set up to help people who are loosing income. So, while I’m loosing money being off - I’m not loosing an entire paycheque. Our government has also put into place somethings to help people with making monthly payments on reoccurring bills (mortgage, loans, hydro, electricity, water, etc). You just have to inform yourself and submit for what you are entitled for.
I have been keeping myself busy with cooking, cleaning, baking, cleaning, organizing/selling, taking Fred for lots of walks (poor guy)... just anything really to keep my mind occupied and off the virus and off of Clover as much as possible. I’m also not sleeping well, so I’ve been watching a lot of movies and tv shows on various streaming platforms. Lol Usually at night so I can just fall asleep with the tv on and it’s slightly soothing.
I’ve also been super depressed about selling off parts of my collection, so I’ve admittedly been avoiding coming here sometimes to.
But I miss it too much to not come and talk with my pony friends.
