What did you just get in the mail?

Oooh detective one off's, are they online or do you get like a board out or something like that? is it like a murder mystery type thing or a full story i guess since you only do it once?

that is a lot of games, i haven't heard of most of them. board games?

sounds like you play a lot of fun games, that is super cool :ponylove:

your trees are super cool too!! my husband and i hope to move soonish to a place where we can have a garden :D pretty hilarious they came in the mail XD
The games I listed are all board games (well, the Unlock! and Deckscape series are just cards, they don't have a board). I'm a big board game fan, my boyfriend and I normally go to board game nights in the area (not at the moment of course) and my best friends, who are also board game enthusiasts, come over twice or three times a year for a relaxing games night at our home. :D

Fingers crossed that you'll be able to move soon! A house is more work than a flat of course, but so much more rewarding, I so love our garden (most of it is a natural garden), looking at all those flowers in bloom is so soothing. :ponylove: I grew up in a (very small) house with a big garden, but had then lived in a flat after moving out until three years ago, so I'm really happy to have a garden again.

that sounds like so much fun! we do DnD nights usually once a week. They opened for people in close relation to be able to meet back up so my brother and his gf is coming over tonight to play :)

yes, my husband spent 2 months in a house with a huge garden with lots of work needing to be done so he is hungry for it, hehe :D your place looks so pretty from the little snippets i have seen <3

I would love to play every week, but my boyfriend isn't much of a board gamer (he prefers playing WoW ;)), so the local meetup once a month is enough for his taste. :hmph:

That's great that your husband is looking forward to his garden chores! My boyfriend isn't much of a gardener, but we share all the weeding and watering chores of course. He just isn't very interested in what's growing (except for the rhubarb, he insisted we have one, as his gran also had one in her garden and she would always gave us a few stalks when we visited during rhubarb season :ponylove:), so I did all the plant selection myself. I created a spreadsheet where I list all our plants, with scientific names and where I planted them in the garden, continuously adding their special needs, pruning requirements etc., as I'm a gardening beginner, but I'm eager to learn. :)

Booo, need more board gaming! though we also do a lot of video gaming so that's allright :lolpony:

oh yeah, I bought him his first little plant, a Lemon Thyme, and he is very happy with it and it smells so lovely! so he is definitely ready for some gardening :)

my grandparents had a little rhubarb bush(?) in their backyard too :D we would eat the stems dipped in sugar <3

that is such a clever way of doing it, you are already doing much better than most, I think :) if you have the chance you should show off your garden and where you put your trees, I know I would love to see <3

Mmmh, lemon thyme smells lovely!

Did you cook the rhubarb stems first, or did you eat them raw? We've only made rhubarb pie so far (cut the rhubarb in pieces, chuck them onto a cake batter sprinkled with ground nuts (we usually use hazelnuts) and bake in the oven for about 30 mins.

I will take a few garden photos, including the new trees (my boyfriend planted them yesterday evening :)) and post them in a separate thread.

yes! you kinda peel them i think, i haven\t had them for 20+ years and then you dip them in sugar. i will have to find some to show to my little boys and see if it tastes as good as i remember :)

You have to peel them even if you cook them, as the peeled off stripes are very chewy, at least the ones that grow in our climate. A good idea to introduce your boys to your childhood food! :) I haven't really developed green fingers yet, but rhubarb is very easy to grow and is a perennial plant, so a very good investment in my eyes (it was the first veg we planted in our new garden as a matter of fact :)).

hahah well certainly good to know incase we come over some rhubarb XD yeah i remember it was just in a corner behind the garage with no extra care and it grew huge!

I wonder what they taste like
Me too, I guess in this state they would be very very sour. :lolpony: I'm dying to finally harvest the white currants, but they are still green and very sour as well. And the lettuce is growing soooooo slowly. Ah, patience has never been my strength. ;)
