I've got a mystery thriller on the elliptical, The Midnight Sister so far it's pretty good. I only let myself read really good, suspense stuff when I'm exercising to try to get me to do it LOL and then I've got Good Grief a Charles Schulz bio in my bag for everyday reading.

I’ve been reading this little gem in my quiet times. It’s been a fun read with a bit of history, mythology and fantasy all thrown together. I’m enjoying the read so far.

Nice!

I've been reading a book on small engine's, so I can take a course on how to repair them.
My repair skills are limited to small motors. such as sewing machine's and vacuum cleaners!

I can change oil, spark plugs, fuses, light bulbs, and generally figure out what's wrong thanks to my mechanic grandpa. It's much harder with the computers in cars now. (Plus, my body refuses) I can install tile, repair plumbing, run electric wires, install flooring, drywall, roofing, build chicken coops, basic woodwork, and I've replaced electric outlets, rewired cords, but my body gets all upset. My dad is a versatile guy who always needed a helper, and loves explaining everything.

Fantastic! You should be proud even if you can't do it all the time!

Sorry but this conversation reminded me of the red green show :lolpony:

Rereading the splintered series, again.

I love a new twist on an old tale.

No judgement on midnight sun, either. I'll be reading it at some point.

I even read war and peace ;) I'm an equal opportunity reader.

Your mom's pretty awesome.

Way, way too much electronic computerized crap. I can't do much with my car now. You even need a gadget to tell it that it's oil has been changed. My car has a scrolling display and on cold days it says "use caution road may be icy". I kid not. It tells me when tire pressure gets low and which tire! I love the backup camera, though. So hard to turn my old neck around.

My grandpa used to buy and rebuild classic and antique cars. Mostly older Ford trucks and the model t.

Did you know that kids under 12 legally have to be in the backseat? I remember being 3 in the passenger seat of a bench seat in a la bamba. Before headrests. We got rear ended at a stop sign and my mom got whiplash! It was still a fun car.

Oh, my. That is a pet peeve for me. I don’t currently have a machine because the basic thing I had was garbage. I don’t have $2500 for the good one. My mom’s old viking lasted 20 years with only basic maintenance. It’s what I learned on. Her new one is top of the line 15 years ago and still going strong. Huskavarna.
