I know it's early but I'm SO ready for fall! Pop some popcorn, grab some candy corn and a pumpkin spice milkshake. I'm lighting a fall scented candle and getting cozy while we figure out our fall/Halloween movie lineups! What are your favorite movies to watch to get ya in the mood for fall and Halloween?!

My favorites are....
Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
The Halloween Tree
Garfield Halloween
Nightmare before Christmas
Rocky Horror
Hocus Pocus

We don't have a real line up, but I'm yenning to watch Nightmare before Christmas.
E hasn't seen Hocus Pocus, so that is a must, too.

My favorite thing to watch in October used to be every night at 8 Disney Channel would show their cheesy but good/funny Halloween movies. I always rushed to get my homework done so I could watch lol. The ones I remember looking forward to most are Halloween Town (1,2 and 3), Twitches, Under Wraps, and Haunted Mansion.
I also like to watch the Great Pumpkin, the Shrek one where they all tell each other scary stories, the Addams family, Nightmare before Christmas, Casper and Goosebumps (the old tv show not the movie). Halloween Wars is also fun to watch
@Gingerbread i haven’t heard of the Halloween tree, is it cute or creepy?

Freddy vs Jason
Jason X
Nightmare before christmas
Child’s play movies
Paranormon
Monster house
Hocus pocus
Scarygodmother
Revenge of jimmy
Mummy
Creature from the black lagoon

Well we watch Nightmare Before Christmas all year so that's a given. Probably going to watch Hocus Pocus, The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Spookily the Square Pumpkin has been a staple for the last few but he's growing up so I don't know about it this year, The Corpse Bride, and Frankenweenie so far. Hopefully more!

@AzaleaArt it's animated and not scary. It's based on the book by Ray Bradbury, and it's one of my favorites. Leonard Nimoy voices a character too :)

For me, my Halloween go-to movies are Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Ghostbusters, and Hocus Pocus. Disney's "Ichabod" short from the 40s is fun, too. :3. There might be 1 or 2 more, maybe, but I can't think of them right now...
Beetlejuice! I haven't made E watch that one yet. So many big names in it, too.

Here's my list, though they may change. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday.

~The Blob
~Casper
~Friday The 13th Movies
~Hocus Pocus
~Let The Right One In
~Night Of The Living Dead
~Nightmare On Elm Street Movies
~Poltergeist
~The Shining
~Trick R Treat

and many more! :catpumpkin:

Well seeing as Child's Play/Chucky is the only classic horror series I'm current on, I wanna continue my 80's (technically 70's w/ Texas Chainsaw) franchise watch this year.

Want to get more caught up on:

-Friday the 13th
-Halloween
-Hellraiser
-Nightmare on Elm Street
-Texas Chainsaw Massacre

No matter how bad they get as the movies keep coming ;)

Also need to throw in more John Carpenter, David Cronenberg and David Lynch because wow am I behind in absolutely everything.
I should probably finish getting caught up on American Horror Story too. And start cracking down on my Shudder Watchlist. Too many things to watch!!!:cauldron::cauldron::cauldron:

Also also, I started watching Castle Freak a month ago and never finished it. Haven't even seen From Beyond yet. So toss Stuart Gordon onto that director list (I heard he made Dagon good? Which is impressive bc it's a pretty crummy story). and Brian Yuzna if we're tossing in the two other Re-Animator movies because I've only seen the first one :/ I also haven't seen Creepshow 2. I'm making myself step away from this thread now:frankie:
