What's your favorite fakie brand?

Fakies are hit or miss IMO, lots of collectors only get them when they're bundled in with purchases of other MLPs. Are there any known fakie brands that you would keep in your collection if you somehow acquired one? Or do you buy fakies all on their own, or not keep fakies at all?

For me I would say I don't seek out fakies on their own, but I've somehow gotten my hands on a Magic Pony and a Crumpet fakie. If I end up with any more I would keep them too. I find the wonky-faced Magic Ponies endearing, and the Crumpet fakies are so sweet, I love them. :)

I let my daughter customize all my fakies. When I downsized my collection, I just got more particular in what I keep.

Ooooo, that's a tough question, because I ADORE fakies! I'll go out of my way to by them. I need 'em!

I lean towards the beautiful rainbow of Dollar General Babies, but totally confess that the little Baby Donkey types as well. And then those cute Tara 'Pony Luv' are hard to resists.

And then the Takara Ponies... I love them so, but have never scored one. Eventually I'll make it my mission to get one, but I'm so cheap, it'll have to be a bargain!

I LOVE the sparkle Fakies (Not the G3.5 looking ones where the glitter is just on top and falls off everywhere, but the Divine Shine G3 ones) and the Crumpet Fakies. I have two of the Divine Shine looking ones (Blue and Green) and one Crumpet Fakie. There's also Crystal Pony Pegasus Fakies by Ja-Ru which I like alot! The wings come off so you can switch them or make them an Earth Pony. I have a pink one and a yellow one because they came in a two-pack!

I'll post pictures of mine if anyone wants to see them.

It's so funny because I was thinking of making a Fakie thread, too!

I only recently came into possession of a Lanard baby pony (she wasn't in a lot, I bought her specifically) , and I just love their friendly, cheery faces and cute pose. :ponylove: So recently a friend bought her mum (well, she has very similar colours, so I decided that she's her mum) for me as the seller didn't post to Europe. They are so cute together. <3 I don't know any other fakie brands to be honest. My best friend still has her two or three childhood fakies, they used to be quite popular over here in the 80ies, I think they are Glow in the Dark ponies, but I don't know who made them. I'll definitely check their hooves on my next visit. :)

The charity shops around me seem to absolutely love fakies and I can never get proper ponies there from it (apart from my first two brushable G4 ponies one time) but they always have the ones that look like G3.5 ponies, Walgreens or the ones with plastic eyes. Doesn’t help the pound shop nearby them sells fakies... they seem to go from there to the charity shops!

But yes I like the concerned fakie too and Takara ones.
Speaking of Takara, I saw a boxed one on eBay that doesn’t seem to be going away but she was so expensive!!

I love the Lanards because they seem to be keeping a secret. Their expression is that of someone who has a prisoner in their basement!

Haha, that is so true, now you mention it, their smile could definitely also be interpreted as a smirk that hides a very dark secret. :lolpony: Oh dear, what evil, rotten creatures have I invited so graciously into my home?

I love my tosty fakie their cheeky expression just kill me. I have had to seen one of mine to get new hair but when she comes back she will be lovely.

I don't collect for fakies but I use to have some when I was little Intel I know what they were I did own most of what was shown
But I have to admit that this brand was one of my favorite fakie @IceCrystal wen I was little

Lanards, by far! I still have my childhood herd of them - they've held up incredibly well for an off-brand pony. Got their original paint and everything.

@ SkyBreeze - Huge congratulations on getting a couple! :ponylove:I have that particular baby, too!

And like @Ology said, Totsys are a close second. Unfortunately I tried to customize mine into a male Mimic when I was ten or so, so he's taken up residence in my bait box. I'm still kicking myself for that one.

Would you try to finish the customization or would you rather try to restore him in some way? I'd be interested in seeing how that would go either way :)
