SO i've been pretty good for the last 3 months, and now i'm bidding on 6 auctions AAAAAHHHHG! i mean really if i win them allf or the price it's at now, it's only $40 but by the time you add shipping into it it's gunna be like 80 then you convert it to canadian and well there goes my pay check LOL!

why is it so addictive? there's something about bidding on a pony you really want, and seeing your name as the high bidder, even jsut for a bit you get soo excited.. i think it's the adrenilin!!!!!!

share your ebaying woes?

Tell yourself this: It's better than drugs, and it gets you new ponies.

And you may be one of those weird competitive people who love the thrill of winning, thus you must bid and conquer! Or not...

...

There was a funny skit on Mad TV tonight! It was a parody of that ebay commercial with the chic in a room and then she opens the wall/bookcases and starts dancing with these guys and sings "Do you know the way to use ebay?" But in the parody, the girl sang "I am so addicted to Ebay" It was great!

I think ebay gives you that feeling: before you see a pony at ebay, which you really like and still need for your collection, you was happy with your life. But after you see that pony, you think I must have this pony. Your life would be worse, if you don´t get it. And when you get the pony, your happiness-level is like before.

It´s like you get hungry for a pony, when you see it. When you get it, this feeling goes away...until you spot the next great pony.

The part I like best is getting the packages in the mail. But for now I've stopped, except for the Rainbow Dash backpack coming. :)

:D Because it's Christmas at my mailbox every day I come home from a hard day's work :D I wouldn't miss ebay so much as I would miss those daily surprises.

I tell myself if I wasn't buying ponies, I'd be buying clothes or furniture, and how boring is THAT?! Ponies are MUCH better!!

I recently got my mom hooked on ebay. In the past month she has spent almost $1000 dollars on various things. She used to make fun of me for getting ponies in the mail everyday, and now I laugh at her as she tries to explain all the boxes to my dad. I love that I can find almost any pony that I want on ebay at any given time. Though as I complete my G1 and G2 collections, it is getting harder to find ponies I want. Which makes it all the more frustrating when I am outbid at the last second on a set completer pony. Grrr... I hate that! Luckily I have started selling my extras on ebay and it is helping to cover some of the money that I spend on ponies. Ebay has opened up a whole world of MLP that I never knew existed. It's how I found this board, and how I found out that I wasn't completely crazy and others loved those little plastic ponies too!

same here...
i won like 6 auctions in 3 days...totaling $80 not including shipping

:naughty:

I had to cut myself off of Ebay as I spent way too much in the past and don't have the extra money to go all Ebay crazy again at the moment. It was so hard in the begining, but I've found that by adding ponies to my watchlist BEFORE I bid on them, it makes me consider if I really need a certain pony.

Gambling. Thats what it boils down to. And, too, maybe the first few hours or day that a certain pony is listed, you see it and its only at $0.99. "Hey, good deal!" you bid. And someone else bids. And you bid....and soon you're up to $30 and its not such the fabulous deal anymore. Its especially hard when "its yours" for a few DAYS...gotta love those 10 day long auctions. An auction I had for a mountain boy I got a LONG time ago was one of those 10-dayers and I was the high bidder for like 5 days before I was outbid. You start having your sights set on it and planning where the pony will sit in your collection....

ah yes, gotta love that whole " it's mine it's mine it's mine **** I GOT SNIPED bit...
