I don’t know if she really is a “full” custom or perhaps an “alternative” Pinkie Pie really…
I’m adding a spoiler box in this thread because I end up rambling like usual with my custom threads

I was straightening Pinkie Pie and Applejack’s hair because their hair was still a bit of a headache with puffiness. I have straightened pony hair before with good results. I had almost finished Pinkie for the session and so I thought “I’ll just go over it one more time”. I then had an accident. I don’t know if I was a bit distracted or what and so, I accidentally melted her hair…

I was a bit upset but I told myself how she is common pony and I will find another in the charity shops. This happened back in January and some time last year I actually did find the same Pinkie in a charity shop but didn’t get her because I don’t really like having double ponies.
I had been hunting the charity shops for a donor Pinkie Pie, one who would give some of her tail for my poor little Pinkie who was my first G4 from a charity shop from 2019 with Rainbow Dash. My plan was with the pony I had taken hair from, I will customise her, maybe replace hair with leftover pony hair I had and replace the tail with it too.
I did indeed find a Pinkie Pie in a charity shop but decided against it because I didn’t have this Pinkie before (Magic of Friendship Pinkie) and the hair was too good to use.
Finally, a couple of days ago, I had finally come across the same Pinkie! Although she looked slightly different, I wondered if this really was the same edition. I’ve noticed her eye is a bit off though so maybe printing error.

After cleaning up this Pinkie, her hair again was too good to use. It would be a waste to pull this Pinkie apart so I decided I’ll go through with my custom plan on my original one.

I didn’t have many colours to choose from and decided white would be a good mix. Here she is!

I found the other Pinkie with those balloons. It probably isn’t on the right way but I wanted to see the colour side.
She is a bit like Anna from Frozen now.
I call her ‘Winter Pinkie Pie’ because my original plan was to include more white, put a white streak in the tail and change the hoof heart to a snowflake and maybe one on her cheek too. I decided against it because opening up G4’s is a big hassle and also I thought she was good how she is.

As I didn’t want her exactly like my normal one, I changed the yellow on the balloons to white. That was so hard to do and so many re-attempts were made. Only now I realise I still see a bit of yellow… I shall not allow myself to focus on that though or it’ll bother me forever

I’m pretty pleased with how she turned out! Now it’s just do I put her with my customs or keep her where she is already with my normal ponies… :rolleyespony:

Bonus: A drawing I did the night before starting her with how I was thinking of having her with more white.

Yeah, I count it as a custom. People count rehairs as customs, right? And it gives her such a fresh new look!
I thought that too but I wasn’t sure as she was still mainly the same
I am enjoying her new vibe she has going. Such a new air about her :satisfied:

your stuff is always so cute
Thank you so much! :Flutter3:
G4 ponies are small and cute so even though I didn’t do a lot to Pinkie, it probably helps she was already cute to start with

Awww, she's a cutie! You did an excellent job on her symbols. White (and other light colors) are difficult to work with, as they show brush strokes far more readily than darker shades. Your drawing is really cute too!

Thanks!
I use Posca paint pens and they usually dry flat so I used some of that for the balloons. I had to do it quite a few times because I kept making the lines too wobbly but at least the pens easily wipe off. They can’t any more though, I sealed them
