work in progress deerpony (hot cocoa!)

along with restoration i do love a bit of customizing...ive mostly only done stuff with littlest pet shops in the past so on a much smaller scale but its so much fun ive been brainstorming ideas for customs i can do on ponies that i cant/dont want to restore (dont worry i would never use a pony in good condition) so ive been thinking a lot of thoughts about it and the only concrete idea so far ive had was this girl!

still a work in progress (as per the title) but ive been so excited about her i want to share what ive done so far

mind the somewhat ugly hooves, im still trying to get them to look right but everything else is coming out so nice im excited! poor top hat got chosen to be my subject because of an incident with her magic message symbol and hot water :x (did not see a single thing about magic message symbols lifting in hot water online! i was giving her an oxiclean bath for any potential mold inside of her and it all went awry...) but she also has some pink stains on her face and hooves which i definitely could patch over with paint but if im already painting so much of her face its all the more reason for a makeover!

if anyone has any ideas for inspiration for more customs i welcome them also im looking for ideas that i can sculpt additions for especially because thats my favourite part of customs!

The sculpting on the antlers and tail are pretty good as well, very fitting for the style of ponies

I, myself don’t think the hooves so far are at all ugly. Sometimes with art things I don’t like, I usually have to step away from it for a bit and let it age a little before looking back at fresh eyes and sometimes perspectives of it change

i guess youre right:) i suppose im just frustrated they dont look exaclty like how i envisioned them to but when does art ever? thank you also i appreciate it!

she looks so cute and perfectly festive! i really can't wait to see how she turns out. the hooves look really nice so far, too. maybe some sculpted 'fur' around the hooves would add some dimension? like feathering on real horses
