What/how do you collect?

Curious :p

Do you intend to own one of every pony ever made? Do you just collect individual ponies that you like? If you have one pony, do you feel the need to complete that set? Do you collect all generations? What about accessories? Playsets? Do you want MOC ponies, or just loose?

I'm just collecting individual ponies that I like. I'm looking to more or less complete the sets as I go along, but more because it introduces an element of control - otherwise I could just go wild. I'm not in the financial position to be actively seeking out the rarer ponies, my limit is really under £5 inc postage at the minute, because I need (want) so many.

I'm only interested in G1's, adults mostly, although I've started my new collection with the flutter ponies and the windy/summer wings. I'm not fussed about accessories, but I will be getting some replacement wings for all the flutters, and I don't really have room for playsets. I don't want MOC ponies, because I want my ponies to be played with. :)
 
I collect all generations ^_^

I just buy ponies that I really like - Any and all unicorns of course, and Pegasus, but I don't want every pony in existence xD Just the ones I would love to see on my shelves :D

I do have a few MIB/MOC G3s, but a lot of them I have loose as well so I can see them properly, I'm quite tactile when it comes to ponies :3 I have an MOC G2 on the way, but again, i have her loose from childhood as well. Getting used to keeping MIB ponies has taken a while for me ^_^ When i first started collecting I wanted all of my ponies out of their boxes.
 
DD I collect G1s really but I have some G3s. I collect ponies I like but generally if I like one pony in a set I like the lot. For instance I love the princesses, sundae bests, rainbows and babies. I don't need all the accessories but baby ponies need all their cute stuff...I mean what's not to love? Tiny toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste, little rattles and bibs and oh the little ducks, so cute!

I'd love at least one MOC G1 just because but I'm not an MOC collector ( I couldn't afford to be for one thing lol). I do how ever love looking at other peoples MOC collections, and I do have a stash of back cards that I love.
 
I collect G1's by pose. At the moment I am only collecting the Collector pose ponies. I don't intend on collecting any of the others.

I have some sets.. the ballerina's and big brothers.. (i only have those because my daughter wanted them) and a couple of individual ponies but no.. my real collection is just collector pose ponies. I like them best because they diplay so neatly and they are what I remember most about my childhood - I only had ponies from the early years.

I do have a load of G3's too.. my daughter collects them.. she keeps them all MIB and has them displayed in her room

My goal is to have every yellow pony that's G1 and G3. Unfortunately the G1s I still need are all pretty pricey and will take forever for me to obtain. I don't hate G2s but I don't want to add any more headaches lol
I have a few completed sets but I kinda feel bad for the rest of my ponies since I don't adore them as much as yellow ponies
 
I'm a collect-aholic. When I started collecting G1s I wanted to own everything!! I'm still unsure of my ultimate collecting goal. Right now I'm looking to complete sets mainly but also may buy anything that really strikes my fancy, especially non-us ponies.

For the G3's it's mainly MIB and MOC sets that I really like. Some of them, I can certainly live without. *cough* 100 pinkie pies *cough*

This is how my daughter and I both are! Same with the G1's. For instance, Sundance was a regular earth pony, a TAF, and a SS. I only have the regular of her. That's all I need.
 
I collect what I feel like, lol!

A few years ago I sold most of my collection, and now that I'm able to collect again, I'm focusing on Nirvanas, limited/collector's editions, G2's, and G1/G2 merchandise.

And customizing. I have some NASTY ponies that need some love!
 
I mainly collect G1s but I do have G3s im going through the process of weeding them out. I just dont want that many of them anymore. Im just gonna concentrate on G1s now. I usually buy from ebay. Sometimes I do get ponies through trades here and there. I also get ponies through swaps. Members on here/there are super nice and lovely to work with for the most part. :)
 
Any thing and every thing MLP, no really I love and collect mostly G1's and my faviorts are the so softs. I really don't care too much for the flutter or windy wing ponies. I also don't have many accessories unless they came with the pony. I would love to have any mib/moc g1 pony. I am not sure if i have much of a goal except to own all the so soft. I collect all generations except the new ones are they called g4 now? I don't think they look like ponies.
 
In the beginning I dreamed of having them all (an army of ponies to rule the world!!) but soon realized that due to the shear numbers of ponies out there and my current living situation that that would be impossible. So for now I'm not actively collecting, but I focus on G1's and have a few G3's I really like. I've also been eyeballing some G2's, I love the Uk Prince Firefly with his bright green hair!!

I collect anything G1 I come across thrifting.. period. If I have it or not. I ebay and buy/trade here some, well, as much as I can afford. I love accessories and outfits and all the stuff, but I am luckily not a completist!

As far as G2's go, if I find them thrifting, I get them. If I found a Hip Holly or a baby cheap (yeah, right) I'd buy that online. They are my most casually collected set though.

I pretty much buy G3's thrift too. The only things I might buy online would be the Plush Halloween pail and maybe Port-o-bella or Mochanut. I figure I'll probably find everything g3 that I want on a store or garage sale someday though.

I'm kind of an obsessive collector. I've accumulated probably over 500 ponies, of all gens combined, in a year! I've got playsets, accessories. plush and merch too!

(I collect a ton of other stuff too. Care bears, Moondreamers, Strawberry Shortcake.. etc. Vintage 80's girl happiness!)

Our apartment is a wreck!

I want to collect eveything G1 (well ponies mostly, I want to have all of that collection) and I collect the Breezies from G3, but that is pretty hard.

G2 I buy whenever I see it as well, I cant say no!
 
When I first started I collecting I bought any and every pony I could get my hands on, got totally out of control and realised I didn't actually really like all my ponies. So I had a huge clear-out (which I'm still working on lol) and wrote out a wishlist of all the ponies I liked and wanted to collect. Now I only buy from this list (unless it's a lot to trade on or that has a few ponies I need or upgrades in it).

I mainly collect G1s and started on G3s a while back but sold most of them off and only kept my babies, SLH and a few special ponies - G1s are definately my thing :D

I'm also an acessory addict I like my ponies to have their brush or comb, princess wand and hats, barrettes etc. I don't collect baby accessories only because I don't have room to display them but if I ever get a pony room . . .

I guess long term I want to find everything on that list although some of them might take me while . . . And I dream of having a complete set of MOC Twinkle Eyes and Locket MOC on as many different cards as I can (currently only have German) but I think that will probably never happen but it's a nice dream anyway :D

I'd like to have one of every one of them. That's a lofty goal so I'm thinking of just trying to complete most of the US G1s some day. I have almost all the G3s except for the rarest and most expensive ones. I'd rather trade off doubles so I can have others I don't have yet. If I get one of a set then I totally want to get the rest. Right now I just need Lady Flutter to complete my summer wings. I don't care much about brushes/combs but I'd like to have hats the come with them or other hair things. I've started collecting a few G1 playsets and I'd like the accessories for those.I'd love to own some MOC G1s some day but I mostly like them loose. I try to get
2 of each G3 so I can keep one in the box but I'm going to run out of room for that.
 
Woud like to get several of the Ponys off my wish list but nothing I really want right away. Though if I was dreaming big I'd say Princess Tiffany:smiley_emoticons_os

Mostly I'll focus on my fav Pony style which is the pegasus and second by color which is blue or purple/pink.
