If you want to see something funny, go to British eBay and search for "13x My Little Ponies (plus accessories)". The starting bid for them is 1000 GBP, and there's a BIN, too: 6000 GBP! And in case you're thinking what I thought at first: No, it's not a typo. Someone actually asked about that, and the seller replied that the ponies were "very precious" to their daughter. I'm really curious to see how this ends.
 
Wow. I...can't think of any words ridiculous enough to express my feelings about this. o_O

If she's going to price them to keep them, then she shouldn't waste her time listing them IMO, lol
 
It's not going to end with anything. If anyone bids on that auction, they're as crazy as the seller and they deserve each other. *nods*
 
Just.. ugh.. stupid doesn't cover it. :bonk:

I mean, even if you time 13 ponies with an average price of 9 GB£ (13 US$-ish) which is what a single G3 with no major accessories cost here in Denmark, it still doesn't hit anywhere near a 1000 GB£ - More like 177 GB€ (252 US$-ish).. o_O

Think of the ridiculous listing fee that woman had to pay? Daft.

I do hope they're not selling these ponies without their daughter's knowing. Hey, but they could easily buy them again with all that money lol!
 
I LOLed for such a long time when I saw this auction and even sent the link to a few of my friends to LOL at - I can't believe she's serious....or she says she's serious! Is she expecting some crazy pony person to think it's a "complete bargain" and click BIN?!
 
I wonder if she's doing it as a punishment for her daughter, but with no intention to go through it. "Terror tactic parenting" or something. My mom use to tell us if we didn't clean our rooms she'd get a big black trash bag and throw it all away when I was younger... so maybe she's doing this as a way to scare the kid into keeping her toys put away?

Still, whatever the reason.... LOL.

Those are pretty drastic repercussions! She has to pay to list them- to teach a lesson?
Though, you know... it's as sane as any other reason she might have! So why not?

1000 pounds enquals approx R12000... That equals three months worth of income to more than 70% of our population... good grief! I have most of those and I don't think I even payed $15 for the lot...
But I have screen shotted it and will now print it and paste it to my computer. My colleagues already call me crazy pony girl. I'll say that I'm saving for that lot! :p
