2000th Post Raffle!

To celebrate my 2000th post on the Trading Post, I will be holding a raffle. In order to enter, please post what you like most about the Trading Post and what your favorite generation/pony(ies) is.

First prize is 5 custom handmade name necklaces for your ponies. Second prize is 3 necklaces and third prize is 1 necklace. I will try to post pictures of the necklaces I have made in the past. To give you an idea of what they look like, they resemble the BABY necklaces that came with some G1 babies only they will have the name of your ponies and different colored seed beads.

I'll take entries until Wednesday, February 29th. I will then announce the winners on Friday, March 2nd. I will be in touch with the winners that weekend to get all the specifics I will need.

Well, I'm a long time G1 pony grrrl, can't imagine anything changing that. And I love the fact that the MLPTP is an actual community. Ponies here care about one another, it's not just about furthering your collection via some online contacts. It's about the ponies, sure... but there's a whole lot more to it than that. :)
 
I am a G1 girl. I remember being so excited every year for my birthday and Christmas growing up, because I always got a pony. I wasn't allowed to take them to my dad's house (because my mom feared that they would never come back). It was her way of making sure my brother didn't destroy them like he wanted to. So they will forever be my favorites!

I love the TP community because everyone here is so accepting of new comers, and so willing to help others start their collection. Which is the reason I joined 2 years ago. I lost all of my ponies when my mother and step dad moved away (when I was younger). I hated hearing that. They meant a lot to me. But thanks to everyone here, I've managed to start a very humble collection of my own. Most of them being some of my old favorites. On top of which, the people here are so kind that they will send gift baskets, do birthday swaps, just send cookies for any reason or no reason at all. When someone is down or having a hard time, or simply because they want to express kindness to someone. Everyone here enjoys seeing someone smile or even to help someone out. People here will send cards across states just to have it signed by various other TP members to be given for a particular member here. That is amazing! Never in my life have I ever witness the type of kinship and sisterhood I've seen here. It has brought an international togetherness in a way that is unlike anything I have ever known. We come here, talk about ponies, talk about our day, our lives and we are all responded to with genuine care and concern from others. It really is a community! And a great one at that.

they are just awesome. i may want to do this so i can get more bowties made for my collection to wear.
 
Aww, what a sweet thing to do, and what cool prizes. *pictures Tex wearing a necklace* lol. I love all the generations (except the "big heads", but even those have a certain goofy charm about them.) (never thought I'd say that about them, but now that they're gone, well, I've softened. Maybe that's cos I know we won't be seeing any new ones LOL!)

Pretty much what everyone else has said here, same for me. It's a very caring community where folks go out of their way to help one another. :daisy:
 
i already have some of your gorgeous necklaces so don't enter me :) i just wanted to say congrats on your 2000th post! and this is so nice of you :D just another thing i like about the tp, you are all so sweet and kind, i love this place ^_^

What a nice idea! I like your necklaces. They're very pretty.

Well, the TP was my first pony community. I had been collecting ponies for years before that, and it was lovely, but it's so much nicer to share the pony love with other people, especially for someone like me, who likes all generations.
 
Congrats on 2000 posts! I don't think I even have a tenth of that many lol.

Though I came here as a g4 fan, the community here has offered me the opportunity to see and enjoy all the generations... even 3.5! I love the positivity here, this is the only website where I always see people at their best. Where other forums are filled with animosity, I have found only love at the MLPTP. :)

I have a hard time saying which is my all time favorite, but currently I'm leaning more towards g1 ponies. I love my Flutterbye and baby Glider most of all.

Bbd, thank you for posting pics of your ponies wearing my necklaces. My computer probably wouldn't want to upload anything.

So, with only 5 entries, I decided that everyone's a winner!
