Just purchased my tickets!
Looking into some hotels this weekend. Can't wait!!!

Looking for someone to crash with...I can't afford to do the whole trip myself but I would love to go.

i just got my coach tickets. so very cool

Like whippetluv, I'm also looking to share a room with someone. I want to stay in the "official" hotel. Lemme know if you need a second or third person for the room. I plan to stay overnight on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Also, I don't mind booking the room myself at first, if someone just wants to make plans...

(ps - I usually post on mlparena, but thought I would send feelers out here as well)

I was just about to purchase my tickets for the Fair, but am I seeing things right on ticket purchase webpage? They're only accepting payment by credit card this year, and not accepting payment by Paypal? (I think I'll contact SweetTune about this, to see if I'm not seeing this right... or to ask if they can add a Paypal payment option... I mean, we were able to use Paypal to pay for our Fair tickets last year...)

This may be a bit of a dumb question, but... If you buy booth space, does the fair provode a table? Or will I have to bring my own?

They are providing us with the table we are buying the space LOL

I got my ice cream social tickets, not sure on the lunch yet. i need to see what is around the area that i can get to on foot. Plus if my 2 sisters vote then who knows?
Is anyone else having lunch there? The lunch is for the saturday only right? so friday we will have to find something?

I posted this on another thread, but wanted to put it here as well in case anyone was wondering about this info.

Both days are at Hasbro. We are still working on the schedule with Hasbro and will share details as soon as we have them. :)

As far as parking is concerned, Saturday it should be much easier to park since it isn't a normal business day for Hasbro (aka their employees won't be filling up the parking lot). I'm asking about the parking details and again, when I get them I'll be sure to pass them along. :)

Sorry that there are so many open ended responses, but we have to cooperate with Hasbro this year and it takes a little longer to get answers.

On the topic of Paypal, we do not have Paypal attached to our Eventbrite ticketing this year just credit cards. However, if you must pay by Paypal, send me an email at summer @ mylittleponycon.com to let me know (so I can keep all the records straight) and I can manually add you into the ticketing system after you pay through Paypal and I can email you a confirmation of your tickets. -I hope that helps you out Jupiter_oski!

Also, if you are staying at the Renaissance Hotel and are wanting to attend the ice cream social make sure to get reservations in. The spots are filling up super fast!!

Yes, lunch is available only on Saturday. It is looking like the Hasbro tours won't start until after noon on Friday so hopefully everyone will have a chance to grab a bite on their own before getting on the motor coach/or meeting up (if you are driving yourself) at Hasbro for the tours.

Aww, sadly my husband and I are part of a convention that our friends started in KC and we will be helping out there. At some point I'd love to go to a pony fair! It sounds like so much fun!

Hi

I have been looking into taking the bus down and so far i have found that i may have to transfer in Boston and stay there for about 4 hours until my next bus comes. But the good news is it will put me in Rhode island at noon on Wednesday.

not to bad, so i might be checking out Boston for a little bit. maybe i can see something cool in that time.

Is anyone else tasking the bus? and if so can you get a direct route. everything i find has transfers in it.

I'm a bit confused about the bus to and from the convention. Is the bus something that is running all day to and from the Renaissance or does it only travel in the morning to get there and in the evening? Since we have the bus will parking really be an issue?

You mentioned tours on Friday afternoon that people will take the bus to, does that mean the only day with vendors is Saturday? So is Friday only a half day?

Is there any hope for another hotel discount rate within walking distance of the Renaissance to catch the bus?

bus etc

Foxtale- The bus will run in the morning and then after the fair has ended. It will most likely make two runs. Hasbro does not have a lot of visitor parking and Friday may be especially tight as all of their employees will be there that day. I assume Saturday will be better but we still wanted to offer the option for people without transportation.

Saturday is the only day with vendors. The tours will be Friday and we are also trying to schedule another activity following the tour but have not gotten confirmation yet.

Unfortunately this weekend is very busy in Providence and I am still waiting to hear back from another hotel on if they can give us any additional group pricing since the original hotel is booked up. So far people either don't have room or are asking more than what the Rennaisance itself is.

What's so annoying is that the Rennaisance is *not* booked up. I am happy to pay the full price even but they won't let me book for just one night.
It's so frustrating :(

I was only planning on attending the event on 1 day, squeezing it in with visiting family. I was planning on the Friday but am I correct in understanding the vendors/sale booths will only be on Saturday? If so I'm going to have to change up my plans. I wish I could do both days but it's just not working out that way and I want to make sure I get to do as many of the things I want to as possible (which most certainly includes some shopping) :)

I'm excited about the contest announcements!

Hm, to cosplay or not to cosplay.... what a quandary!

If I do Red Roses, I shall need yellow lounge pants... and a really BIG pink wig.
Do it Kar, DO IT! I'm trying to get an outfit put together. I'm so stoked for the fair this year, but I don't know if I'll be able to get everything I want done in time O_0,
