Hello,
The ponies have been real lifesavers and the convention ponies are stunning and have the sense of a community behind them.
Especially the awesome 2023 Deer Christmas pony, and the baby Sea Castle and Dreamboat. Please if you have 2023 Deer pony and you wish to sell them I would appreciate it and can use USPS to Dunedin, New Zealand postcode: 9010 or I even have a forwarding US address setup.
Context:
It almost feels like a living connection to the world when seeing the new customs in person. It is quite inspiring to see them and brings inward joy. It has been hard to feel connected to anything outside the house since I have not been able to go to many events, access much of the community or seen much of my family in years. I will miss them this Christmas so I hope to have the ponies around the tree and use them as stand ins for each family member.
It is weird I know but during childhood when I was alone often all I had was reading, art, ponies and games. Now being physically disabled as well I find I am back in that solitary mindspace as my friends have left overseas for work or only want to do things I cannot access, my family is now far up north and I am more alone than I have ever been in my life. I have not felt part of a community or connected to others for over 6 years and with less access to local areas with a disability, (our councils and government are removing a lot of disability access to public spaces) there just is not anywhere I can go freely. Hence my lifesaving strategies for long periods of isolation as a child will again hopefully help me here. While I am isolated physically I can create a community feeling inside and hopefully that will help light a spark to glow in the long dark.
