My swap partner (who I shopped for, not who sent me a box) was SailorLibra. She sent me a PM thanking me for the box on Saturday. She never posted pics, but I want you guys to see anyway!
As a preface to the pics... some of them are of iffy quality. I was up all night working on my box so I could meet the shipping deadline (I'm a lazy-*** procrastinator lolz). That being said, I wanted some pics of my work before I shipped it all. I must have taken the first set of these super early in the morning and the only way I can explain the blurriness is maybe icky Florida humidity got all up in my camera lens and messed up the pics. *sigh*
Okay /rant
Here they are!
SailorLibra said she liked celestial type things in her wishlist. She also likes Skittles. I think I sent her 4 different flavored bags of Skittles, but those weren't the only extras I wanted to send.
I wanted to send soap!
She likes fruity scents and clean scents. Also some food scents and coffee too.
So I made her celestial fruity soaps!
I'll start with the moon, on the right. Now, I didn't have a moon mold so I made this with a little dish. It was hard because I didn't want it to be a plain circle, so I mixed a bunch of different types and colors of soap to get a greyish color that looked like there were natural craters and other moon-like features. No, it does not smell like cheese. It's pearberry scented.
The sun I am most proud of. It smells DIVINE. Mango-peach scented, it has two layers- a clear red layer (which I think was the peach part) and a beautiful yellow/red sunburst swirl background with specs of gold glitter (lots of mango fragrance in this part). I know I sound like a salesman but I was so friggin happy with it I can't help it. Forgive me?
Here's a pic of the back of it:
Crappy photo taking on my part. I have to get my lightbox set up. It's why I haven't bragged yet about the awesome box I got from our wonderful host, Peppermint Truly.
You can't see the glitter, but there's the swirlyness...
I also made 3 star soaps with real coffee grounds. Coffee grounds are a great additive to soap because they smell like fresh brewed coffee and they're nice and scrubby! Good as a kitchen soap methinks.
Okay moving on.
I went a little further with the celestial theme and I really hope SL likes this pony as much as she says so lol.
(note- these pics are the WORST I took of all)
!I made her a custom!
I think I'll refer to this pony as "Midnight Libra" but her name is up to SL I suppose.
This was my first dye job. I had so much fun, I'll be posting about dying in the customs forum eventually.
Midnight Libra was originally a Royal Rose, dyed with a whole packet of RIT dye in navy. Her hair is original, dyed as well. She's bejeweled with Swarovski crystal "stars" and features the constellation Libra as her cutie mark, as well as a moon between her wings.
I love how her eyes came out. Sadly I can't really show you, but they're a pretty gold sealed with glossy Mod Podge.
More crappy pics!
Okay so up till now, All I've shown you is extras.
What I bought for SL in terms of what she had in her wishlist was Dollymix ponies.
She said she only had Sweetie Belle so I got her the rest! (well, except for Starsong, couldn't find one.)
But I was tricky in terms of wrapping them! muahahah!
That's right. A gum ball machine. A gum ball machine filled with Starburst and Dollymix ponies.
That is all.
(sorry for the super long and arrogant post haha)
