MLPTP EVENT A Very Merry Unbirthday Pony Swap - BRAG-A-THON!

Lol - isn't it just the cutest thing?! :D I'm so special. ^-^

LOL WHy yes, yes you are. What a great package full of fun stuff!! Love that AJ fakie bobblehead!!!!

I was so excited to have you as a partner because I got to put some personal Applejack touches in. I got to work on the card right after I read the partner assignment PM.

You have no idea how hard it was for me to give up that Napper when I opened her. *lol* She's a set completer for me too, and that one is SO MINT!

I got the bobblehead from Michaels. It was fun, but I don't think I'll be painting another anytime soon. The smell of my paint and the plaster together activated my sinuses like you wouldn't believe. I couldn't breathe for two days.

So glad that you like everything! *hugs*

Hey - how'd you know I like AJ??? o_O

I was excited you're my partner, too! :p You have no idea how long Napper has been eluding me. And yes - the mintiest Pony w/ tinsel in her hair I've EVER seen! So thanks for giving her up, lol. I hope you get one yourself soon. ;)

And sorry your sinuses acted up for my AJ bobblehead - I just love her, though! My parents thought she was adorable, too. ^-^ And my dad really liked Napper.

I opened up Sweetie Belle while watching the Olympics - she is SO cute! Especially in that cute little bonnet! I was all 'aww, isn't she cute?!'-ing, and then 'aww-man!'ing when Vonn fell. o_O

Anyway, thanks, once again - I'm just totally thrilled w/ my package! :D (((HUGS)))

And, btw, those Reeses Cremes are DELICIOUS! o_O I'd never had them before (but being Reeses, I knew they had to be good, lol).

Yay! Glad you liked everything DBM! Were those your kitty's name's? I thought I had seen you mention them in a post and hoped they were right. I can't wait to see what crafty things you come up with. I thought it'd be good when I saw you belonged to the Stitchyland group.

:) Their names are Jessie and Aslan, but we often
refer to them as sassy (and Aslan is particularly
sassy at age 3, so it could be I called him sassy
and not Aslan in a post LOL). I just love that
ring, it's the cutest thing!

Ok, here come the pix!
The day this box full of pretties arrived was a
great day for a box full of pretties to arrive. I
really needed a "Picker upper" that day!
oooooooh!

And *gasp* the purple leopard spotted wrapping
paper ::does a happy jig:: See how the top tissue
paper becomes a nice place mat? And take note of
the tiny square package.

Here's everything: An ever-so-Minty Love Melody!!
*big hugs!*, two big sticker thingies... which I
have to ask what are they an example of? These are
something I haven't seen before. Behind them, in
front of the leopard spots, is... TADA!! the
coolest thing, a set of patterns to make stuffed,
felt Christmas ornaments of Majesty, Glory,
Sprinkles, Starshine, Firefly, Cotton Candy, Lemon
Drop, Blossom, Twilight and Moondancer. Skor bars,
Symphony Bar and Sweet Tarts to keep me company
while watching the Olympics, a lovely smelling
candle with pony stickers decorating it and can you
see that tiny silver thing on the Skor bar? Remember
that tiny square package?

Here is the tiny silver thing. Isn't it adorable???
So thoughtful of Gingerbread to think of our two
kitties and know how much I love 'em. :)

And here she is, up close, in all her glory,
holding the purple Olympic Torch (the candle came
wrapped in this lol)

Thank you so much, Gingerbread! What a fun way to
spend the after dinner hour, unwrapping all the fun
you sent.

I'm glad you like everything! The stickers are from my manufacture's roll of vintage lunchbox stickers, so if you've seen that image before it was probably on a lunchbox. So glad I could brighten your day!

Oh, *cool*! I figured they were intended to adorn some pony item-or-other, but all I could think of were smaller areas. Ah, but yes, of course. Lunchboxes!

Wow!! These are great brags!! Congrats to everyone!!

Keep them coming!! :)

One of the three packages I received today was my swap box from lyricalstar! She really spoiled me.

Here's the lovely wrapped box. And please excuse my pics. My customs worktable is the only clear space right now, and I had to hide a couple of swap customs.

This is what I pulled out of the box. Something for Boog too!
10TPUnbirthday02.jpg

Unwrapped. The cutest little card! Chocolate-covered pretzels! *yum* Sweet Pea-scented bubble bath, shower gel, and lotion. Handmade earrings and a necklace - purple beads and silver star charms! A Domo magnet (now stuck to my filing cabinet) and pin. And two lovely ponies - TaF Merriweather and Lickety Split. :D Boog's gift isn't in the picture because he wouldn't give it up after he unwrapped it. When my laptop is fixed, I'll upload the video of him unwrapping it.

Thank you so much, lyricalstar! I love everything (and Boog did too)!

Cool stuff for Skig!! :) (And Boog.. can't wait to see the video LOL)

It's soooo neat that you can ship the packages looking like presents right in the post like that. What a great idea...

Skig!!!

I am so glad you liked it. I was kinda worried. I didnt get you much junk food because you said you really didnt want much so I figured the pretzels would be just fine. I made those earring/necklace btw. I love stars and purple so it was hard giving them up. I cant wait to see boogs video!!!

I didnt know you could either until Skig actually mentioned she does it all the time, so I figured since she does it I thought it would be nice to get one all wrapped up! :)

Thanks again Cerulean!! :)

OMG those eyes! What a great kitty! Makes me laugh :) reminds me of our younger cat's eyes when he stalks the older one... *all* pupil LOL!

Great box, kittybethy! Those cocoa stirrers look yummy!

lyricalstar, you did a great job! Everything is just perfect! The necklace and earrings are beautiful! The bath stuff smells great! And Boog always loves to get gifts too. :)

I'm glad that you didn't sent a lot of junk food. I use to not care how much I got until I realized that it was just piling up and piling up because my husband and I were not eating it fast enough. I still have leftover Snickers and Twix in my refrigerator that I used to bake for Christmas 2008. It's not that I (we) don't like it, I just don't eat much of it.

The pretzels will be gone within a week, though. They're a big-time favorite. I told the hubs I'd share ONE with him. *lol*

I got my box yesterday!!! :yippie: Here is all the lovelies that I found inside:

I never realized how awesome this pony is until I saw her in person. I love everything about her!! Her name, pose, colors!! *drool* Here's the next question... should I open her!?

bd6183f0.jpg

And my extras!! Oh... there was a box of candy... but I ate most of it! :pig: It was my favorite chocolate!!! YUUUMM!! And just look at all the girly stuff!? I love it, I can NEVER have enough.. EVER! heheh I love my purple flower can't wait to use it in the shower... I'm curious to see what it does. lol

And lastly...

Thank you Peppermint Truly!! You are a doll! Thank you for such a thoughtful UN-birthday present! I feel like it's really by birthday!! :D

skig!!! What a cool box :D

Sweetiebabyfizzy, I'm glad you liked your box :D I was hoping you'd like everything :)

I don't know about Alphabittle... to tell you the truth she was in my collection for the last year, and every time I looked at her I wanted to open her, but then I found a loose one at a flea market and decided I would keep the other one MIB, since she is stunning! Now I have passed on the curse to you, and you shall decide if you open her or not :D

I was going to mention this before but forgot. I do wrap my swap packages, but I'm almost always sending priority. I also use a lot of packaging tape to secure the paper seams. My PO workers are very nice and pretty familiar with me, so they don't ask questions.

I can't guarantee, though, that other POs will be as easygoing. So I would caution against reusing/wrapping a free Priority box and shipping it Parcel Post. There's always the chance that they could make you unwrap it.

I ran a swap on another forum for Christmas, and my partner was from Canada. She wrapped her box and the stuff inside it, and the Canadian Post called her back in to unwrap everything before it could be sent.

I usually wrap my boxes too, but I didn't wrap this one. I don't know if this is my imagination, but I think wrapped boxes take longer somehow. The first wrapped box I sent was for the Halloween swap, and it took over 2 weeks to get to my partner in the US. The other one was the Christmas swap, and it took 2 weeks too. This box took less than a week to get to its destination. Maybe it's a coincidence?

Got my box!!

Goodies inside: Chocolate(yum!!!), plush Rainbow Dash, SS Cupcake, and SS Lofty!

Here's Yoshi eyeing the goodies. ;)
