I just received my Dutch Rabbit pony in the mail and I'd swear that she was just taken off card she is so nice, but what is wierd is her first tooth doesn't have a hint of ever being painted?

Was the tooth on these not painted?

Thanks for any input :)

Nope - she's 'sposed to be that way, FT

Mine came from a great trade, and she's MINTY! No paint on her little tooth either.

Are we talking about Dutch pony with a rabbit theme or a pony with the markings of a dutch rabbit? I'd love to see a pic, now that your question's been answere. Cuz I have never heard of this pony LOL

Here's my litte girl. She's just lovely, so nice & minty!:D That way you can see her a bit more close-up if you like.

Dutch Baby Kitty is the same way...tooth there but no paint. I guess they finally figured that since the paint rubs off so easily, it wasn't worth painting the later ponies. Makes sense, I guess.

But they do look odd with that tooth just molded there!

LOL...came back to post a picture, but you ladies already came to aide - thanks. I'll post in the brags section one of these days when I get a little time to take some photos.

MM - Your girl is very lovely!

dutch rabbit pony

I am so jealous of you Fluffythighs - I don't have any Dutch ponies, just pictures.
*wants one now!!*
I just looked on your link Flapflap - very useful - but I wondered, do the Dutch ponies have actual names? Cos I know that the dolphin baby gets called Delphine, but I never saw alternate names for any of the others before..

Snowflakerocks ave you checked out this site?

I love this site, Kcat has great pictures and some beautiful ponies listed by country. She also has the foreign names noted.

Thanks *hugs her Dutch ponies* They were lucky finds and thanks to E-Bay being strange right now (winks) I was able to afford them. I'm going to have to go on a pony diet though for a while  this has been an expensive month and some unforseen bills have come up (and gosh is the start of school expensive LOL my munchkin just started kindergarden)!

website

That is such a cool website!
I must remember that one for future use.
And well done Fluffy for your Baby Rabbit - I nearly bought one at last years convention in Morecambe but I didn't have enough money left.....

Well I never understood that either. Since they are Dutch ponies you would think that their "original" names would all be dutch, but Delphine is not a dutch word (not sure what language it is, maybe french?). Her dutch name would be either Dolfijn or Dolfijntjes (little dolphins).
Kcat got one wrong too: the School pony. School is the same word in dutch as in english, "Schule" is a german word.

So I suppose they all simply were named after their symbols, and didn't have any "real" names.
