I used to be a very active member of this forum. I collected for many years and amassed a rather large collection. I lost interest several years ago and the ponies have been in storage ever since. I would like to get them back into a collector's hands and make some money back in the process. The problem is I don't have a ton of free time. I work full time and have 3 kids in sports. I have tried selling in the past but it hasn't been very successful. Does anyone have any advice on the easiest way for me to liquidate without a huge time commitment?

There are folks out there who like to buy large lots. If you don't have luck selling the entire collection you can always group it into smaller lots of $100 each or something. Sometimes you don't even need to list them all out but can just take a picture to give people an idea of what's in there. I would pull out some of the super valuable ones however and sell them individually because you usually can make more that way.

Good luck!

Show us what you got! Try taking some group photos to see if there is interest.

I will take some pics, there are quite a few G3's in boxes so I will start there. I do have a lot of G1's as well. Off the top of my head there is the 25th anniversary set MIB and a set out of the box, the G1 repros all MIB, a couple of Comic Con ponies with boxes but not MIB, G3 winters some MIB and some loose. All of the G3 birthstone ponies loose and July Jubilee also MIB. The underwater pony with box. All of the G1 birthflowers in beautiful condition. I believe I have all of the original G3 newborn sets, if not all very close to all. I have Twinkle Hope MIB. I also remember seeing G1 Hollywood with repro wings. I really have to talk myself into going to the attic, it is such an overwhelming task I keep talking myself out of it!

Thank you for the advice and kind words about my kitten :) She is sitting beside me right now, but is no longer a tiny kitten!

UPDATE: I ventured up and took a few pics but I am not sure what to do with them. I feel there are too many to upload here so if you are interested I guess I can send them to you?

You're welcome to send PMs if you want, but it would probably be easier to post the pics in a post, you can try using the "add photo" options on the post instead of uploading all the photos to photobucket?

Also you can use a broker who will sell them for a percentage of the profit. I have used my dear friend Jewel in this way several times. Good fun!

Do you have any boy G1 ponies you'll be selling?
